so i have an '06 2.7L, and it is bone-stock except for some 245's... i want to put bigger tires on but since i'm brand new to this game, how much lift should i put on front and/or rear? i've been thinking that 2.5 front and 1 rear should be good enough fr bigger tires but am i wrong?

do you have all stock suspension parts ofr did you upgrade? i hear lots of negatives on using these quick lift kits for the oem suspension.

I just got the blistien 5100 adjustable front shocks and the rear blistien 5100 shocks and it said I can adjust the front up to 2.5" and the rear to 1.5"? Now after reading this im starting to wonder if im going to need something else instead of just the shocks? I am trying to slight lift and level my taco so im just curious if the front and rear shocks will do that for me or will I need something else to go with it..

    thanks!!

You can go the cheap route. Spacer lift in the front, blocks in the back with 5100's/5125's. I have heard it rides like poop. Or you can go with the Old Man Emu kit which has 884 coils, new shocks all around, add a leaf and all the hardware for $780 shipped. I think I am going to save up for the Old Man Emu kit.

What do you guys think of doing Icon Stage 1 long travel with Dakars in the back?

I know you guys are looking for a 2.5 inch lift but here is mine with a 6 inch lift. Just tossing it out there. IMG_1061.jpg

3" front lift from 884 springs and Progressive AAL in the rear.

Here's what she looked like with 2.5" in the front (before adding spacer to address the taco lean on drivers-side), and Stock Rear.

If your only looking for 2.5 in the front, I would recommend going with 883 springs.
Achieved 3" on passenger-side from 884 springs, so I had to add spacer to the driver-side (2.5" - taco lean) so both would match.

3" is a tad high, wife isn't crazy about the current stance (due to lift and 33s).
Hoping suspension will settle...otherwise may have to add some sliders :p

Another option would be to run 883 springs for a 2 1/2 lift.
    or
This could be the excuse you've been waiting for to upgrade to coilovers? ;)
