I just purchased a new 2013 Black Tacoma 4 door with the TRD Offroad edition two days ago. I turned in our 4Runner and am glad I made the switch.

I have not taken it off the road yet, but before I do this weekend am considering a lift and or bigger wheels and tires. I am looking for advice on what to do and when.

Do I burn through the stock TRD tires the next couple years and then when they are due for replacement upgrade? The tire shop said they would give me $600 credit for the stock 16" wheels and tires as they are brand new. New 18" wheels and tires are about $1200 after tax and trade in.

With suspension and lift- is a leveling kit in the front of 2" sufficient for good looks and clearance and is it safe for the vehicle? I can get the spacer, alignment, and installed for $300. Or should I do a full suspension 3" lift, and if so am I just throwing away the stock TRD suspension? Seams like a waste if so. Also will a lift void warranty?

Lots of questions I know, had previously enjoyed with a stock 4Runner, but am now ready to dabble in the Tacoma world.

    Thanks in advance!

3" Toytec spacers, Bilstein 5100s in the back with add a leaf and overloads removed.
Don't do spacers. Unless you want it to feel like you ride a bull every time you drive it. Shouldn't void the warranty unless they can prove the lift caused the problem.

What full lift do you recommend?

Am I just throwing away the stock shocks?
