Im a new member but find many things on here so helpful. Im scheduled to have a leveling kit and 3inch lift with 1.5 inch wheel spacers.. Any tips or ideas to prevent any rough riding or rubbing of any sort.

to prevent a rough ride you dont really need to do anything, just make sure everything is installed and torqued professionally.

If you want a better ride, ditch the leveling kit and go with a suspension lift instead. I just made the first payment on mine and when I bought it a month ago it was bone stock. I started with a level kit but just finished installing 5100s, OME 885 coils and deaver single AAL. The ride is much better, wish I had skipped the level kit altogether.

+1 on ^^^^^^. The leveling kit will only compress a non-linear or progressive stock coil and eat up all your comfort zone of the ride. A proper suspension lift with a linear coil will stay consistent throughout. It is worth the money.

I think he means a leveling kit for the rear only. It's not clear what he intends to get for the front.

You don't need spacers unless getting larger tires on OEM rims, and then only in the front. You'll need extended lugs when you install spacers. Most of us get the 1.25" SpiderTrax. 1.5" might be too much - causing more tire rubbing than a 1.25 does.

Ok, I got it, yes 3" lift up front but not clear on type.

You don't need extended lugs for spacers up 1.5". I have run 1" through 1.5" with no issues on BORA spacers (BORA spares are inset lug and hub centric). It may be different for SpiderTrax though. I don't have any experience with SpiderTrax (good brand and never heard anything negative)

What are the specs on the lift you're getting? Is it blocks? Is it Suspension? Body?

Need this information in order to provide actual answers.

right now we can only give you one of the three incorrect things:

    1. Our own scenario, which probably isn't the same as yours.
    2. Some shit we talked while having a few beers with buddies.
    3. Information that is so General as to be useless to you.

Might also depend on tire size and type of wheel. I went from 265 65 R17 to 265 70 R17 tires and needed spacers because the front tires rubbed on the knuckle. I originally had 1-inch spacers (I don't the brand). When I got mud terrain tires, they rubbed again and got the 1.25 inch Spidertrax'. With both spacers there was not enough thread on the OEM lugs/studs to fully seat the nuts in the spacer. I wanted all the threads catching, so I replaced the OEM studs. I have stock alum 17" wheels; other wheels may have different dimensions and you many not need longer studs.

Fwiw I have 5100s on stock coils to level my double cab. Rides fine to me. I'm planning on getting a wheelers progressive AAL to raise the rear sometime soon. They say 1.5-2" depending on whether you leave the OEM overload or not. $150 as opposed to 60-100 but you won't have to worry near as much about leaf/axle wrap down the road.
