Wow, I'm having difficulty remembering the last decision I made that stressed me out as much as picking the lift for my truck. I find myself picking components/kits but then seeing that for just a little bit more $$ I could upgrade to something better ... whether its upgrading to a better component within the same brand or even switching to another brand altogether. Argh!

Anyone else go through this? ;)

I did for a while but this is my 5th Tacoma. Right now I have stock Sport springs and 5100's at 1.75. But on this Tacoma I am going all out full Icon with Camburg ball joint UCA's.

I'm leaning toward Icons the most but even then its still hard deciding which "Stage" to get.

Mine will be a Mall Krawler with top notch components. What type of wheeling and such will you be doing?

Trails, mud, rocks, hills, etc. Nothing crazy though since my truck is new. But I'd rather plan for the future and get the "ultimate" suspension kit for my needs now than buy something mediocre and just have to spend more money to replace it down the road.

Indeed! I think I've looked at just about every lift option available ... except spacers. ;)

So besides the 2.0 rear resi shocks and front 2.5 Extended travel coilovers, and new UCA's what comes in the ultimate kit?

Oh when I said "ultimate" I just meant my own personal ultimate kit that would be perfect for my needs.

Right now I'm seriously looking at the Icon Stage IV
-Icon Extended Travel 2.5 front coilovers w/resi
-Icon Extended Travel 2.5 rear shocks w/resi
    -Icon tubular UCAs
-OME Dakar leaf packs (with bushings, ubolts, etc)
    -extended brake lines

LOL, I was stewing about it for well over 7-8 months before I finally bit the bullet. I am very happy with my set up. I have the ICON ext travel 2.5's remote resi, 2.0 remote resi rear, camburg ball joint UCA, Wheelers HD 3 leaf progressive pack. I was seriously contemplating OME, Bilstein then KING, FOX, ICON. I have ZERO regrets with the set up that I ended up going with. Good luck with your decision.

Lol, thanks! A month ago I though I was set to get a full OME setup. Then I flipped around like what you said but now I'm 99% certain I'll get an Icon setup similar to what you have.

Just not sure on wheels. Whether to just keep my stock Sport 17's or OEM Beadlock style. What do the rims you are getting look like?

Do you need to get extended brake lines if you get a rear lift?

Probably depends on how much you are lifting in the rear. With the Dakar pack (+2.75") every vendor I contacted recommended extended rear brake lines.

*It would be nice it Toyota started making the Tacomas more "mod ready" since there is such a huge aftermarket craze with these vehicles. Extended brake lines straight from the factory would be a good inexpensive way to start.
