so i'm reading up on the lifts and leveling, etc. and the relative tire clearance and wonder how much my 05 reg cab 2.7 prerunner is "factory lifted". the back end looks as high or higher than pics i see here of trucks that say they have a 3" lift. i've searched and can't find a thing on the prerunner factory lift amount for the front or rear.

is there any set amount that the prerunner is supposed to be above a base truck? is there some absolute distance from the frame or center of axle to the top of the wheel well that would be the most accurate way to measure overall truck lift assuming a factory sized wheel is used? 3" of body lift with half coming from a bigger wheel is not the same for clearance as 3" from suspension alone and i have no idea where i'm starting from with the prerunner and all these lift dimensions being thrown around.

if i get rear springs that say 3" lift is that 3" above the already lifted prerunner height? or just 3" above some other base body height relative to the frame or center or the axle? i don't want the back any higher but want higher rated springs. and i want to just about level the front with the rear, leaving just a bit of rake.

does anyone know how high a prerunner if considered to be lifted already?

the search comes up with nothing expect that a bigger wheel will fit the prerunner, but not a non-prerunner suspension. what are we talking about? 2" higher?

    thanks.

On Toyotas web site, it give the heights of all vehicle models. Generally, a 3" lift levels the truck, so it gives a 3" lift in front, and 1.5 to 2" lift in the rear.
