285/75-16 studded duratracs. Haven’t had it full flex but have been off-road. Only very slight rub is when I hit crap too fast with wheels turned. Little heat gun then I doubt it will rub at all.

Hi BEETHMODE84, I was just looking at those rough country spacers https://www.roughcountry.com/toyota-leveling-lift-kit-744c.html and I was told by RoughCountry they’d fit but it would be equivalent to a 4 inch lift. So I’d have to get their 4” inch kit which means I’d have to cut crossmembers, replace steering knuckles, relocate the sway bar and front axles (I believe after looking at the installation write up) and ditch my Pro Skid because of the new crossmember in the kit they’d provide. That’s not what I’m looking to do at all!

How did it work for you and what did you do for the rear? I was thinking to do UCA’s with the spacers to compensate for possible camber changes.

I’ve been running General Grabber 285X75X16 for 2 years without issues but want a little more lift. I absolutely love the stock Fox ride and I read there’s actually 12 by-pass zones in these shocks which I understand is more than the Fox 2.5s if bought separately. So they really are tuned to our trucks!

Would love to hear you’re feedback now that’s it’s been almost a year and how the ride changed if you can still remember. And any changes you had to do with the lift.

    Thanks
    Victor

@TRDPro75 - hi Victor. Did you do anything with your lift or learn anymore on options/experiences? I’m about to put on 285s so will be in the same boat. Thanks!

No I’m still in the same situation. I’ve been meaning to put a call into Accutune. Apparently the 2” rough country front spacer lifts will fit but haven’t found a rear option yet. 2” is too much for what I want.

I’ll definitely do the UCA’s with it and I found a 1/2” transmission mount drop for $50. If I went with the rough country I’d have it professionally ground down to 3/4” so I’d get a 1.5” total lift. I’ve also heard that if I do a lift inside the spring and top mount that it would be the better way to not affect ride quality as much. I thought this would preload our springs but apparently it just pushes the wheel down. The spring rides the same on daily driving through short & medium travel. Off-road is when we’d lose end range travel hitting a hole and is where the ride quality would be affected. I’d don’t enough to experience that often if at all. And apparently it’s the down range travel that would adversely affect our CV joints. Like I said I have to get a call into Accutune but I’m definitely going to try something. I can always take it off if I didn’t like it.

Just an FYI I’ve been running General Grappelers 286-75-16 for years now without amy issues but I do confirm that our Pro wheels have an offset that let’s us run them.

Sorry for typos. I wrote this all in 3 min.

Any more updates? I’m getting serious about upgrading tires on my pro , so have been looking at mine closely and don’t see how I could fit 285/75 or even 255/85s without cutting ..maybe w/ an adjustable UCA, but that’s more $$ I don’t want to spend right now...

You can get General Grabber X3's 285/75/16 without any issues. I have a 2017 Pro and put them on as soon as it was delivered to me. I didn't do a thing to lift it and I use the truck for how it was intended. I've heard the BFGs rub in the same time measurement though. If you don't want to do anything the Grabbers work and I've been really happy with them. Hope that helps.

Very minimal rub without a lift. Running the same tire without any modifications. 2018 Tacoma TRD Pro.
