What set up would you use to lift your truck mainly for looks but keep good ride quality? TIA

I went with trd pro suspension, eibach springs and blocks in the rear. Only offroading I do is frozen lakes, But it gave me a 2.5 inch lift and handles great on the road.

2" Bilstein 5100 is the best bang for the buck.. Do yourself a favour and dont go the spacer route!

If it's for looks then the spacer lift is the way to go. I have one on my 2017 Sport and have no complaints. It's inexpensive and works great for a mall crawler. If you spend time off road them I agree, don't go the spacer route.

    I second this comment

Or step up even more and go 6112.

I also popped some 1" wheel spacers on and even with stock tires it looks nice.

Thanks guys. I was thinking of going with the rough country spacers and an add a leaf then maybe down the road upgrading to some coilovers and icon rxt leaf springs. I doubt I’ll take it off road and if I do itll be pretty flat dirt road no crazy bumps or whoops or anything.

I never got the "just for looks" line of thought. Y'all should care a little about how it handles, even if it stays on the pavement.

    :cookiemonster:

Agree with the 5100 route. That's a decently performing suspension lift on a reasonable budget.

You would be amazed at how good shocks improve the ride. I absolutely love my 6112s, firm and yet also less harsh

Thats why I went with pro foxes. I want the poser look, but also want to be able to drive without my teeth falling out.

well yeah I care about how it handles too but I’m sure it’ll handle just fine with any option I go with. My 98 Tacoma had a spacer lift and it handled just fine. I can’t imagine how a 2023 would handle compared to a 98.

I just bought a 3rd gen. 2023 off road. It’ll be here at the beginning of April so just trying to get some info before it gets here so I can order some parts.

Don't waste your money on that RC spacers and then change. Just wait a bit and do the 5100's or 6112/5160's. Why spend money and tear apart twice.

    First, congrats.

My advice is always the bird-in-hand philosophy: wait until you have, have driven, and have learned your truck before ordering parts. Life moves in unexpected ways,ya never know what the future holds, etc.

Second, for an on road suspension, I love my 6112/5160s. Firm, responsive, they handle well, they tow trailers well, and they look good. I get compliments on them. I love how it drives. If I were upgrading immediately from a new truck, I would bite the bullet and do a full coilover kit.

I'll say this - most people who notice a 2" lift will also notice the method of lift. I can spot it from across a parking lot. Spacers don't get compliments. :cookiemonster:

    Work in progress...
The 6112's do improve the handling and ride. The 5100's will lift the truck about the same, for looks. I've never tried the spacer lift but, just for looks and for the price, I would probably give it a try first. This is assuming you are turning the wrenches, except alignment, yourself. If you are paying for the install then just go with the 6112's or the Fox setup, Kings set up, etc.
