Hi everyone (this is my first post). Just bought a 2008 PreRunner TRD Sport (pics attached) and I’m wondering how I can determine what size lift it has. Thanks!

Clear pics of the suspension would help folks advise.

Suspect blocks in the rear and spacers up front. But the pics should tell more of the tale.

I’m also a newby with a 2008. Welcome to TW! I’d bet if you were to measure from center hub to the bottom of the fender someone schmardter than me would give answer. Enjoy your new ride!

Take photos of your front and rear suspension.

Shocks, coils, spacers, leaf springs, etc.

@Clearwater Bill beat me to the punch. You might also measure the height of the spacers he mentioned. I’m not sure if you can access the fronts, but rear lift blocks should be pretty easy to measure.

    Nice looking Taco BTW.

Looks like your truck has a body lift, a spacer lift and bad shocks. BTW, those pics suck

If you leave the lift blocks on the back axle, you’ll want some very good shocks back there. They act like a lever and the axle housing tries to roll and wrap the spring when you get on the gas. It can get hoppy on acceleration. It’s not the best way to lift a truck on a leaf sprung axle, but it’s been done a zillion times. I’d be gentle on the go pedal.

It's 2024. The cheapest smartphone out there has a 5 megapixel camera in it.
There's a federal law against taking photographs with a potato.

    You just violated that law.

Yeah those pics are tweaking my eyeballs (you said they were stills taken from a video... Does whoever video'ed that always hold the camera 0.2" away while recording?).

I'm going to say it's a 4" lift, based on the 2.5" or so apparent height of your rear lift blocks. Those pics are too crappy to tell anything beyond that though (such as what kind of lift it is). You need to retake the pics from a foot or two away so that more of everything can be seen.
