I have a 2012 Tacoma 4 door 4wd, stock stance and stock tires. I'm wanting to lift it but not really sure how much of a lift I need in the front and the back to get rid of the rake and bulldog it a little bit. Also when I lift I'm putting 33's with 18" rim. Please help.

    Welcome to TW.

Why do you want 33s if you don't even know what lift you want? What is the purpose of your lift? What do you plan on doing? Off road in dunes? Forest? mud? street only?

1.75"-2" front lift is what is needed to level the truck. Why do you want 18s? 16s and 17s have way more tire sizes and are better for off road use, because they provide more tire sidewall. Going to 33s is going to require a larger lift, which will be much more expensive to do correctly. The UCAs alone to go from 2" lift to 3" lift will cost $400+. You will also encounter significant power loss, braking performance loss, mpg loss and worse ride going to 33s.

I recommend doing a bunch of reading and research on this site. There is no 'best lift' but there are lifts that are better than others for a given purpose. For a daily driver and weekend warrior, I'd suggest keeping it at 2" of lift, going with light weight 32" tires 265/75/R16 or 265/70R17 (P load for street, or C load for off road). This will have minimal negative effects on the street for a daily driver but also provide enhanced performance for off road.

My truck is running 1.75"-2" lift up front, 1.5" lift rear, with 265/70R17s, 32" (1" larger than stock KO2s).

Well mainly it's a daily driver and I use it a lot out on my ranch. And I want 33's and 18's because of personal preference. I wasn't just wanting to know what size lift I'm thinking 3" from and 2" rear.

Do you mind trimming and you will need new UCAs up front if you are going 3" up front..

No trimming isnt a big deal. Why would I need new uca up front?

To get the truck within alignment specs. That said, every truck is different and results vary but anything 2.5" and over, it is highly recommended to have new UCA's installed. Otherwise you will be spending more time in the shop getting it aligned and more time wandering on the highway..not something I would recommend.

10 4 yeah I'll definitely look into that. So with a little trimming I should clear no problem?

Yes. For daily driving, you will have to trim some lower fender plastic and remove your mudflaps.

Yeah the mud flaps were the first thing to go lol but yeah trimming isn't a problem. I was gonna do 20" rims with 35's but I'm not wanting to put a 6.5 lift lol

    I have 20s and 33s on a 6.5" spindle lift with 5100s.
20s look good to me. Just do what you want, 90% of this site hates 20s just because it's different and not the most suitable for offroad but it's your truck not theirs.
And you can have bilsteins set at 2.5" without new ucas, I have em and its aligned fine.
