hey guys, looking to get a lift or leveling kit soon. Anyone have photos of their truck with a 3 inch rough country leveling kit? Pros and cons of it? Or anyone know a good 3 inch lift that’s affordable? I still need it to be reliable but if it’s a rougher ride quality I don’t mind. Post some photos and let me know! i’m thinking a 3 inch leveling kit for around $450 all said and done, is the way I’ll go.

Save your money, do lots of research, and buy a good set of quality adjustable coil over shocks and springs. Good luck with your truck.

Edit: screw it, ill put a little more effort in lol

Read that thread. All of it (alot of people just skim stuff)

Sounds like you just want the looks but dont want the hassle (or to pay for it). Youre probably going to put some "33s" on it and some wheels i presume. Bilstein 5100s up front and a little block in the rear (2" up front 1" in the rear) is what id try to talk you into if you came into my theoretical shop asking the same question.

Do some more research, this pool is deep and you still got your shoes on.

You're not going to get anything quality for $450. And you won't find any love for RC on this forum.
Get some 5100s and an AAL.

Also - you're going to run into a lot more work going for 3". You might be better thinking about 2".

yes, at a minimum, get the 5100's

do you ever use your truck as a truck?
if you do, leveling kits are stupid. with the truck level and a load in the rear, you will be looking up at the sky.
but if you don't haul anything, then leveling is fine. (but why tf would you have a pickup truck if you don't haul anything?)

A 3" RC lift that consists of front spacers and rear blocks would be one of the worst lifts you could install on a Tacoma. Go cheap and you will end up with other suspension related issues down the road along with visits to the dentist and chiropractor.

Check your local market places like Craigslist and Facebook. A lot of times, people are selling good quality lift kits with low miles for good prices.

spacers are not very liked on this forum, neither is rough country.

I got 5k miles used bilstein 6112/5160 for $500 on Craigslist, along with “like new” rear ome leaf springs for $400. And a JBA hd high caster UCA for $300. That is what I would recommend.
