    2018 Tacoma 2.7L-I4 4x4 Extended Cab
    So I've picked out and ordered my full suspension kit for my 3" lift, among other things, and i have a pile of big boxes in the garage to keep my motorcycle company. I'm gearing up for the big installation weekend and i want to ask you guys for any advice and reference materials to make sure my installation goes as smooth as it can. So what I'm asking for is any advice/guidance you guys have to give on steps, procedure, do's/don'ts, special/helpful tools/techniques and helpful videos/threads. I really don't want to screw up anything with the $3k i just spent on my brand new truck. Also i want to know what kind of maintenance routines and supplies (grease,oil, ect...) you recommend specific to the parts I'm installing. Thanks in advance, i hope for a fairly smooth ride in the garage.

    FOX 2.5 coilovers with 2"-3" lift
    FOX 2.0 shocks with 3"-5" lift
    OME Dakar leaf packs
    OME extra leaves
    OME carrier bearing drop kit
    ICON Delta jount UCAs
    Extended rear brake lines

    I'm in the same boat, I just got my set of Bilsten B8 8112/8100, I'm no going for over a 2" lift, but wonder what other components I should replace/upgrade while I'm doing the installation. I've already got extended brake lines, the TSB leaf pack, only additional weight is going to be an All Pro steel plate bumper.

    FOX 2.5 DSC and some other stuff too.
    I found this video particularly helpful. What it does not show is the passenger side UCA bolt which is impossible to remove without significant bending and possible cutting.

    Also on the passenger side ensure you loosen the Allen screw on the split ring before you install the coilover. Mine was on the back side and very difficult to access once the coilover was installed.

    Did you get upper control arms for the extended travel? I decided on ICON's new Delta joint arms. You should be good with just the SPC light racing ball joint UCAs since you're not so drastically changing the angles. At least that's what I've learned with all my noob studies lol
    That video is indeed very helpful, hopefully my 2018 doesn't have the same issue you had on the passenger side.

    I’ve got a question of my own that may be helpful to your install...when you’re putting in a new leaf pack, do you need to/where do you need to use grease ?

    I wasn't sure if I needed the UCA, but might as well get a set - also not sure if I still need the 1/4" spacer to correct the lean, or an AAL to level out the bed. Waiting to hear back from my shop as to what other parts/bushings I should replace once it's all apart.
    Still pissed I missed the TRD suspension kit sale, but damn, I'm excited to get this installed!

    Not sure if you are new to this or not (so forgive me if you already know). Most important...know how to safely jack up the truck and get it on jack stands. You could loose a limb or worse.

    After that, things to note that people fuck up, miss or don't think about:
    - Do the final torque with the weight of the vehicle on the ground
    - Re-check your torques after 100 miles! I have paid the price on this one so take it from me.
    - You may want to remove and anti-sieze your LCA bolts while your in there. They are usually dry from the factory and once they seize they are a PITA to fix.
    - It is WAYYY easier to just loosen the LCA bolts and drop the LCA down to get the coilovers in than using a pry-bar
    - Coil spring compressors are helpful (but be feekin careful)
    - UCAs are mandatory on lifts over 2.5 inches IMO
    - Enjoy!

    Thanks for the advice guys. Dropping the LCAs sounds like a useful point to make the job easier. With that T-9 did you focus on the shock body or just spray generously? Also what mileage intervals do you guys grease UCA bushings and what grease do you recommend? I got the Delta joints too so i need to know about greasing those.
