    Hey,
So I just installed a 3 inch Old Man Emu lift on my 2011 Tacoma. Took it to Les Schwab to get an alignment. But a couple things feel odd, that don't seem they belong. When I take off in first gear, the truck sort of vibrates. Second, the steering wheel wiggles while I'm driving. It doesn't wiggle to bad, just enough that it doesn't seem like it should be doing it. Is this common, or is something wrong?

What were the specs on the alignment? Do some research on carrier bearing drop kits and axel shims and see if it matches what you're feeling.

Alignment issues, vibration issues, CV failures, and 3" lifts go hand in hand. Our Tacos just aren't designed to work well at 3". Its a shame and I bet there are 1,000,000 words written on TW alone about the problems. But people want that last inch of lift and all the manufacturers are happily taking the money. Quite a charley foxtrot.

You have to keep in mind you're changing the geometry of the vehicle when performing any kind of lift. There's going to be some odds and ends that occur at different levels of lift. If you have a spec sheet for the alignment, that would help determine whether that's effecting anything. Maybe a tire is out of balance causing the virbration issue? Have you looked at the driveline vibration that occurs in 2"-3" of lift on occasion?
