So there's nothing wrong the ome /5100 set ups. If you're going to be hauling gear and don't have any armor id suggest a medium pack. I believe it sets it up for 400lbs in the back, which happens quick with a rack, tent and gear.

I roll with a full bed, rack, and normally a canoe when I go into the back country. I've got the compression adjustment on the back and stiffen those right up when I'm freighted. They're nice to have. I also adjust them for towing.

Of you can afford to buy a set up of where you project your build is going, I would. Given what you mentioned if your looking to just get out there, you could easily do it with ome/ billies as well. Both are capable

Ripped off all four mudflaps. Scratches all down both sides 6112’s up front on 3rd notch 5100’s in back with Toytech 1” block Skids & sliders from SOS Concepts I got rid of the 1” block and put on Wheelers 1 1/2” progressive AAL. SPC UCA. Be sure your standing on the drivers side when reading the instructions! I swapped sides so many times that I can swap UCA’s in 15 minutes. I put in the 3/4” spacer to eliminate the Taco Lean, and just got my 4th alignment. Traded the OEM rims for 17” Sport rims and a bora bora 1” spacer. I got my Firestone 285/70/17 MT2’s. Pelfreybilt gas tank skid and hi-lift jack should be here Friday. Looking at bumpers, but I think they will wait for next year. So far I’m happy with my build. I’ve done it all myself, leading to a lot of cussing and frustration, but it’s all mine.
You drive it everyday so go with what you feel the best about.
That would’ve saved me a lot of frustration and money.

That is sexy butt flex. Is the b110 a bilstein pn or a model? Anything else other than the brake lines?

Here's the shocks And here are the brake lines. Ignore the fact it says 05-15. If you buy them, PM @Wheeler's Off-Road Inc with what you want and they'll get you a forum discount.

Thanks for all the help guys. Picking up an OME medium kit sans rear shocks and going with the b110 setup that @EatSleepTacos suggested.

    Hey man,

I think it totally depends on what you want to do with your truck. The high end coil overs work great but also require more maintenance and more can go wrong. It’s also hard to feel the performance of racing shocks if you’re not pushing them hard or going fast on dirt roads often. At our shop, we recommend to most customers the heavy duty twin tube kits from Dobinsons or our GTS kits because it makes most sense for them and it doesn’t break the bank. Plus, the ride quality is amazing and they still provide an instant improvement in performance on and off road. I know a lot of guys here aren’t running Dobinsons yet, but we probably install 2-3 kits per week between both shops and everyone leaves pumped. Reliability is excellent as well. Hope this helps!
