image.jpg New Tacoma owner here. Unfortunately I didn't do enough research before I bought my truck. And I rush into not so great deals. Anyway.... My problem is the alignment and the procomp lift. If I would have found this forum first I would not have bought this truck. To me it looks like a procomp stage 1 6" kit. But the spacer is not 6". Only measures to 4". I didn't want a 6" in the first place and was told this was a 3" kit. To me it looks like the procomp 6" with smaller spacers installed. So can someone please tell me what lift I have?

Now with the allignment... The camber looks way negative. Inside of tires are worn.
I am taking it to the dealership tomorrow but I want to go with some education on this. The cam bolts look maxed out on the lca(as in won't pull the bottom of the tire in any more to correct the camber). Is that possible or am I just freaking out and all it needs is a good allignment and some new tires?

Spacers are horrible, especially on progressive springs. I would recommend pulling the spacers, you have a good set of upper control arms. Take it in for realignment after removal of the spacers and new shoes. Not a big deal, not a difficult fix.

Can I pull the spacers but leave the rest of the procomp stuff on? The upper ball joint angle already doesn't look right to me and I fear if I pull the spacers it will get worse.

I would pull out all procomp spacers, but keep the upper control arms. If you want to lift it the UCAs are good to go. Easy and inexpensive way would be 5100s with OME springs, depending upon what height or weight you can adjust the setting or spring rates.

Okay. I'm still a bit confused. Can I do 5100's with ome springs with the procomp crossmember in there? I think it also has the procomp spindles. They don't look stock to me.

I dont know if it would properly align using the crossmember. I would go back to scratch, but your call. Pull it out and sell it as a kit or specify swapping for stock spindles as well. There are a few sets of stock spindles on here or car-parts.com is a good online junkyard site to find some. Mixing kits is usually a bad recipe, but those are adjustable UCAs so you shouldnt have an issue with alignment unless the kit didnt have very good R and D process.

Okay. Thank you for your help. I really appreciate it. Sorry for my ignorance as this is all very new to me. Coming from a long line of dodge 2500's. Thanks again!

No problem, dont be shy or shameful. I would still be breaking countless things on my taco if it wasnt for this forum. It helped me so i feel obliged to pass it on. For what it is worth, i have 5100s all around with OME 886 coils so i can help provide some insight when that time comes.

The cross member underneath had to be cut out, so you cannot just take the drop bracket off and put stock components back on unless you weld in a new brace. You also can't just pull out the spacers on top of the shock as it would put you wheel into the fender most likely, and the angle of your ball joint on top already looks extreme as you said. I think your best bet would be finding some extended length shocks so you can ditch the spacer, check out RCD lifts for the shocks maybe, whatever they use in this kit would probably work: http://www.westcoastoffroad.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=6_498_875&products_id=17196. With those spindles it looks like the spacer is too short, the angles would probably look better with a 6" spacer in there.

Well to me it looks like there's something really wrong with that bump stop spacer, like it's bent??

Also, where the drop bracket attaches to the stock lower control arm mounts, isn't there normally some square "spacers" that prevents the drop bracket from shifting in the oblong bolt holes?

    Edit: Like these:

Thanks for the replies guys. First off whoever put this lift on skipped a lot of things it looks like to me. Like I said I'm new to the Tacoma world but after a bunch of research I've done on here I can tell this lift wasn't done right. I took it back to where I bought it to give them a shot at aligning it and fix a few other things overlooked on the truck. And of course what I was afraid of... It won't align.

After looking at all the procomp 6" lifts on here I realized my truck is missing the 2" spring isolator. So it's really just a 4" spacer right now with all the procomp drop bracket stuff. I think the alignment and upper ball joint issue is due to there not being enough lift for the procomp knuckle. And yes that bump stop spacer is definitely bent.

The dealer wants to try procomp uca's which I know that's not going to fix anything. I told them if that doesn't work they may want to try the 4" knuckles that come in the rough country kit. Do you guys think that would help?

I don't really want to run a 6" as I like the stance of it now with the wheels and tires it has. I would love to get some icons in there but that's going to have to wait as I can't afford that right now.
