is 1200 dollars a good deal on a 3 inch lift? It's from the dealership...

What are you getting for the 1200. And what do you want out of the lift?

    It's a spacer lift.

    Bad deal.

It all depends on the lift they'll be providing. More than likely it's of poor quality. I'd do some research on here and decide on what you want yourself.

If they are going to warranty the lift it might be a no brainier, unless of course it's blocks and spacers. With a 3" lift aftermarket UCAs will probably be needed.

More info on the lift is needed.

I just wanted to price a leveling kit and the guy told me that I would get a way better deal if I went with the 3 inch lift instead and it's the 5100 bilstein coil overs or adjustable I don't remember exactly... But he said the leveling kit was 8

Welcome OP. Your first post is a doozy. o_O

My guess is it's a cheap spacer lift - it's pure profit for the dealers and that's around what they seem to charge. Not worth it.

Hold on to your money until you have read up on lifts here - it can be overwhelming but you will get a better truck, suited to you, in the long run. Start reading HERE

EDIT - that's not a terribly terrible price for a Bilstein 5100 kit installed, but probably still has blocks in the back and preloads the factory spring - so not the best ride.

He sounds full of shit. Do some research on kits. For 12-1500 you can get some really good kits that will do you a lite more good

Leveling kit for $800?!?! You can level your truck by simply throwing 5100 billies in it with the fronts set at .75".

Well you came to the right place now get reading!

Depending on where you are located you might even have forum members who will help you DIY for beer. Then that money goes into quality components instead of labor to the dealer. For $1200 in parts you can set yourself up quite nicely.

He told me that the truck would ride a lot more firm then it does now and feel more like a truck... And I believe that he said they would be taking out all factory parts and putting in aftermarket... I also priced some predator bars and he said close to 650 installed (65 dollars to install) so when I left I researched those an seen I can get some for 400-450 and read it takes about 5 mins to just blot them on

Sounds like you should steer clear then. Take about a week, read up on lifts, and go from there. I recommend Bilstein 5100s, OME Coils, and an AAL. A great bang for your buck and will cost around $650.

Because no dealers sell anything else on brand new trucks, and if they do, they don't sell them at retail cost.

Basically this. Or spend more and go with the 6112 billies. Or a fox setup
