I'd save a little more, my budget was $1000 when I started. Here I am $1500 in and I'm about to drop another $600 on some leafs. You're in college, spend your money on more important things like beer.

Get some spacers. Small ones, 2" max. You will need an alignment so factor that in. If you get them online just make sure they're metal not that hard plastic.

Bro get 2 inch spacers and invest in some good beefy 265 tires

That's all you need. Otherwise you start running into shit with upper control arms, coilovers, leaf packs. Too much $$

I am running 5100's all around but mine are set to 0" lift with front OME 884 coils. They are adjustable so you should be able to get close to what you want. I was also in college when I bought this truck, so I feel your pain :)

I feel your pain broski. In college as well. Anyways, I’m going to recommend what the other guys have already said pretty much. 5100s, toytec lift coils, and OME Dakar regular duty springs in the rear. I have been running this setup for about 8 months now and I love it. Smooth on and offroad.

This is exactly what I'm gonna end up with, except 884's and the 3 leaf. I highly recommend shooting headstrong a message OP. They gave me a ton of information to help narrow down my options to what fit my budget and goals.
