Keep up the fight! I would most definitely let Toyota Canada know of there deceptive practices.

Sorry to hear about your situation. I'm sure your not too happy about what has transpired.

So the extra $3k didn't include new wheels and tires to match the 3" lift???

no the 3k was for just the lift. The gm of the dealership told me it also included recalibration of the wheel sensors, and a whole bunch of other BS

If you didn't get new tires there would be no change in the speedo reading. the only thing they would need to do with that lift is allignment. everything eles is total bs they are telling you. hope everything works out for you man.

rear solid axle doesnt need alignment so should be a front end alignment... unless they want to claim you have 4 wheel steering...

no need to recalibrate the speed sensors unless you got bigger tires too... should have nothing to do with lift...

try fighting it, although, chances are they will say the bulk of that money was in labor...

i just installed the revetek lift in my truck yesterday, i did the add a leaf in the rear. i have never done a revtek lift but had bill and randy from revtek helping me. it took us about 2 hours ( and alot of that was bs'ing). But that being said what were the hours they billed you for? Most shops are around $100 and hour so they prob tried to get you on the hours. Say it rides like shit and you want it off, and see if they will give you money back or have them take it off. then go buy one for $325 and install it yourself.

the only spare parts that you should have gotten back were the pressed in bolts on top of the coils which the kit replaces, but thats it

Hey, I am just starting to take care off this again. I am going to talk to the dealership manager next week, the same guy that told me to pretty much take a hike last time I was in. So now I told them I want to talk directy with the owner but they wont do it I have to talk to the manager first. The total for the 3 things that I had added on to the truck when I got it was 4990.00$. That is for the lift kit, a billet grill and aluminum running boards. I told them to break down what everything cost and they said they cant do that. So I am going to the parts room and going to price out everything my self and then show them and then they cant tell me any bullsh%t. So after my next week appointment i will repost my results.

Oh yah they also charged me twice for a "air tax" and they charged me 3 times for a "tire tax". I brought it up with them and they told me that there wasnt a mistake and they just added the price onto my "accessories" price on my bill. Even though i have the paper work from them showing they over charged me.

wow I feel bad for you man, hope something works out for you in the end, a spacer lift should only cost a few hundred then another few hundred to have it put on, then an alignment after that. Billet grills are dirt cheap and those running boards arent much either, you also got ripped off paying an extra $2000 for those. There has got to be someone to complain too. Sounds like a very shitty dealership if they are going to charge you all these ridiculous taxes too.

Due Diligence is a term used for a number of concepts involving either the performance of an investigation of a business or person prior to signing of a contract, or the performance of an act with a certain standard of care.

I think it is important to excersise due diligence whenever you are having work performed on anything you own. If you don't read the fine print it will get you every time. The devil is in the details.

Best of luck with your resolution. Honestly, I think they got you on this one. Chaulk it up to a lesson learned and never go back to that dealer.

    My 02cents.
