So I phoned the dealer and talked to the manager, Art. He told me that he didnt have my file infront of him so he couldnt help me at that time. So then he tells me that he will look up my sale file and give me a call back. 3 weeks later no calls. So I phone Toyota Canada and they tell me they cant do anyting for me that deals with the sale, so Im back to the dealer. But during the conversation she tells me the name off the owner. Turns out that the owner has the same last name as the new car manager that pretty much told me to pound sand. So now im down to calling them every day until I get some thing. So thats where I am today.

They had one at Palmers airport toyota in mobile the other day with a $300 kit on it from Toytec. I almost peed my pants when I saw the window sticker and they marked it up to $1,800. What a scam.

Palmers Airport Toyota in Mobile AL didn't want to cover my CV boot under warranty because of my lift. Said I changed the geometry. Even though they sell the trucks new with the kits installed. When I asked the service manager about warranty issues on the new trucks they are selling he told me that they WOULD NOT cover them either. After they said that I told them my neighbor who is a reporter for a local news channel would love to do another story on Toyota to inform their customers they have been misled. I asked them if they informed all the customers that bought their trucks like that that they would not cover warranty issues? After that they changed their tune and replaced my CV axel no problem.

First off, that sucks dude! Small world though, I'm considering a lift and this happens to be the dealership I bought my truck from. I called them for a quote and was told about $1300.00 for the revtek lift including labor. When I bought my truck they had the exact same unit( inc color) with the lift already on it in the showroom with some nice rims and tires but I didn't check to see how much it was. Wishing now that I had checked so I could have a little more to imput here. I'll be getting it in writing now though before I do anything with them! That said, my buying experience wasn't bad except for them not calling when they said they would. IF I could do it all over again though I'd go to Gateway Toyota in Edmonton, best dealership I've ever dealt with.

Wow, this sucks .......I heard horror stories about dealers installing kits but this one really pisses me off. My buddy works at a dealer and I told him about the crap your going through and he said its dealers like them that give his business a bad rap. My buddy says the GM is being around the bush with you so don't give up. Eventually hes gonna have to talk to you so keep calling his ass. We hope you get something back FiRsTtAco .......and if you do see Art please tell him everyone from TW said:brianr:

It's sad that there are those who will take advantage rather than help. But like you said, this may just be one of those live and learn moments. God knows we all suffer through them from time to time, and nobody's immune.

If you have anything like the Better Business Bureau in Canada, I'd consider filing a complaint for inflated pricing / price gouging. But if you signed a contract they may have you by the balls.

But don't let this ruin the enjoyment of your truck!

So an update on my problem. As off today I phoned the stealership and asked for Art. He prolly has caller ID and knows where I work so he sends it right to voice mail. I left 2 voice mails today an hour apart, no return call. So I went to the BBB and filed a formal complaint on the dealership. Now they will get a copy and they have to respond to the BBB. This is now there 12 complaint to the BBB. I also found Arts home phone # online, havent decided what to do with that yet lol. O and I have recorded all my conversations with the asshole pricks at that shit hole. So that might come in handy some time. Ill keep the updates comming.
