Just had Toyota corp put a new frame on my 2008 TRD sport, installed bilsteins 5100's and set them at 1.75. Need a nerf bar for the wife now, any likes, dislikes reviews? Never purchased one before didn't realize how many different styles and companies. I like the looks of the 5" oval curved stainless steel lund. Is 5" to wide, also don't want it to low? Also saw westin and steelcraft

Why would you title this " lift kit " when it's about steps?

Because I'm terrible on the computer, don't send e-mails, don't belong to face book. Pretty much old school. My friend told about this forum, just like the reviews and to be steered in the right direction, Sorry!! new at this game What do you recommend for a step (nerf bar) definitely want them mounted to frame thanks

If you want them mounted to the frame, you are looking for sliders. All step bars mount to the body. You could have a local shop fab exactly what you want and weld or bolt them to the existing frame holes. Or... Most vendors on here are willing to build their sliders at 0 degrees, so they are also functional as steps.

Click on "forums" and scroll down to vendors, or go to the modifications sticky thread and there's a sliders section. Welcome to TW!

Not all step bars bolt to the body though the majority do. I had a set of Westin nerfs on my '09 that bolted straight to the frame.

    And another Welcome
