After some research it turns out I have a 2003 Xtra Cab Prerunner TRD Off-road, I did not know this before tonight, had the truck a year and finally getting around to learning about it. Pretty cool learning the history about this truck and pulling the carfax lol

395$ for all four corners. Ur budget minded, so if you don't tow you could go with cheaper rears and lift via add a leaf, shackles or a block in that order. Some nice coils will complement the lift, and avoid preloading the ride. If you use the adjustable spring perch on the shocks the ride will stiffen up. Not necessarily bad, but not a stock feeling g ride.

A lot of people get their Tacoma's used, leaving the 2nd, or 3rd, or w.e. owner unaware of the changes made by the 1st.

Those changes include removing of the TRD decal, or even adding the TRD decal to a truck without ever having the options, changing the front end from one variant to another, replacing the side mirrors between the two variants, and more.

Yeah I totally get that, bought the truck a year ago, I’m the 4th owner, I got the full CarFax and the truck was in an accident in 2015 and I think the bed may have been replaced then. After a year of ownership I’m finally getting into off-roading and learning about this truck, recently I learned the leather seats I have are a super rare dealer specific option so I am really enjoying all this.

You can check the VIN to be sure. The lockers only came from the factory on TRD models.

But it's possible to have a locker without a TRD, but it'd have to be installed aftermarket. Some folks swap out TRD axles/lockers.

You might have a TRD but someone took the stickers off the rear fenders.
