http://rockkrawler.com/ It used to be called Rock Krawler Racing Development and have since changed theyre name to Pure Performance. They specialize in long travel jeep stuff now. This avalanche had one of theyre prototype lifts so it was 100% custom and then they mass produced it and marketed the lift for several years. They make theyre own shocks. They used to make way more kits for the 1/2t and 3/4t chevys but it was so expensive that when the economy tanked they stopped selling so they discontinued alot of there stuff. The reason i know about them is the truck used to be theirs and the shop was only 10-15 minutes from where i worked in NY

I have the toytec spacerlift and idk if its just because before this i drove a lifted jeep but the ride seems just fine. I took my truck offroad this weekend and i didnt experience any of the bottoming out that i have heard people complaining about with the spacer. Everyone knocks the spacer, but if your short on cash it seems like a good alternative to me. Definetly go with the 3" in your situation. That being said still wish i had a 6" and 35s:)

so.... whats the final verdict?????? i have had my Fabtech on now for about 2 weeks and I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!! i have posted pics already in another post of it. i clear my 35's with ease, full turning radius too!!!!!!!!!! the 1 inch body lift hellped.. and dang this thing looks sick. i got what amounts to about a 4" lift for under 1000!!!!!!!!!!! and i didnt loose any clearance from a drop down bracket and i dont have to worry about cutting the cross member, and since i rarely ever offroad I DONT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT RUBBING MY 35'S... although i did go take it out to the dunes in Albuquerque and i must say i did rub a tiny bit, but only when hitting the whoop de whoops. other than that it is amazing. and the ride is so comfortable... soft yet not squishy.

Hey i have a 3in on my 05 and i have the 33s and i dont recomend them because every time i hit a bump a little to hard i scrape the fender and the frame on my drivers side...i cut my fender but it still scrapes on the frame a little bit.

there is lots of info on here as to what to cut on your frame to stop that rubbing, i think they call it a pinch weld if you search.

My tacoma is my daily driver, so I voted for the 3" lift. I'm leaning toward the toy tec lift. I want my truck to look tuff without the monster truck look, as cool as that might be.

We ordered 265 BFGKO for our old '07 tacoma that we since traded for our '09 and somehow the guy made a mistake and placed one 285 on. When my wife brought the truck home I noticed it on the front, but there wasn't any rubbing on the uca at all but there was some rubbing on the fender at full lock, no wheel spacers, all stock. So he's right, it can be done.

3" seems to be winning out. I'm getting my 2010 lifted in a few weeks and I started off set on the 6" Fabtech w/ Dirt Logic. But after hearing more and more of the issues everyone is having... Sizing down to at least 4-4.5 is sounding more and more the way to go. I have a 91 Bronco that's rolled a 6" lift for 180k beautifully. Doesn't appear it's a sound decision on the Taco though.

CAI, dynomax turbo exhaust system, tinted windows medium on the fronts to match the backs, hid kit hi and low beam, pop and lock tailgate, painted calipers red with caliper paint, put 2.25' leveling kit in front and a 1" block in the rear. its now level and rides WAY better (readylift)>way nicer than the revtek my buddy has i think its garbage imo<, hurst "T" shifter, 18 x 10 american racing (can't remember the name) chrome rims with badass 5 inch lip :), 12 inch rockford fosgate punch with rockford fosgate 600 watt amp, bushwacker fender flares (cheaper than replacing the one i wrecked lol) ,kc light bar with kc lights, toyota aluminum stamped skid plate, and a skull front license plate. More mods to come, thinking a 6 inch lift and arb bumper etc etc.
3 inch to small my vote is with the 6 inch but a modified 6 inch because the kits they give you suck their cheap to be competitive with the other brands you want a nice one be prepared to spend a lot. however the three inch is some what practical for most people but most three inch kits are garbage as well. DO YOUR HOMEWORK and get the right lift that suits YOU best not anyone else. For me 6 inch is the way i want to go.

For the gentlemen thats 21 and with a 4 year old son i am 22 without a son my advice 3 inch and maybe a body lift if you want bigger than 33s?

Is anybody rolling 33 12.50's on 17x10's with a 3" lift? If so, what lift are you running? What are some legit 3" lifts out there? Spacers will not do and I need a solid kit that will add functionality. $$$ is not a factor. I see tons of pics on this site but it's a pain in the A** to PM every person to ask what lift they have. I have 2010 Offroad 4x4.
