New to the lifted truck world and recently purchased a 08 Tacoma DCLB with 125K. Looking to get a little 1-2 inch lift. What's everyone's recommendation for the Mid-West rust belt? This truck is my daily, boat hauling, dog training, hunting truck year round and will be adding a topper soon. Any recommendations would be helpful.

Planning to replace lower and upper ball joints also. Any recommended brands?

Where are you located? Everything will rust regardless of fancy coatings but will still function properly. If close the Chicago, Chitown 4x4 is very knowledgeable, has product across a broad range of costs, and does great work at reasonable prices.

I’ve yet to find anything in the Midwest requiring a lift. If there is something, I want to know where it is (off-road parks don’t count)

Its mainly when I hunt in Western Mn in the winter. The roads aren't maintained and snow packs up on the roads

Get some good tires, tire chains, maxtrax and a shovel. that’ll get you much farther than a 2” lift ever will.

Yeah a lift doesn’t give you more traction which is the problem in winter. Do what @Shellshock suggested and you’ll be fine.
