    NOT Correct.
A top out spacer verses an in the coil spacer will not effect the ball joints at the same stress level. The top out spacers are MUCH worse on the ball joints than a spring lift or an in the coil spacer. The top out spacer just forces the entire assembly down, which is where you get all your problems.

how much of a top plate is considered bad? Is the 10mm OME one ok?

so how bad would the 3" forged aluminum spacer be? Given you put the diff. drop spacers aswell? (top-mount no spring compr. needed???)

As noted above, top plate spacers put a lot of stress your ball joints, way more than any other type of lift.

So similar to beanzinmytaco's question, would the front differential drop spacers help much? Would they relieve any tension from your ball joints?

    HORRIBLE!
It just shoves the entire assembly down, over extending everything.

    Nope.
The cv angle does not effect the upper ball joints at all.

so to relieve stress on the ball joints, would it be wise to go with the 2.5" spacer lift kit instead of the 3"? If you dont do any off road type driving (cause I dont have 4wd) it seems that it would be a cheaper alternative for the 4x2 guys out there?

Would 33" tires still fit nicely with a 2.5" spacer lift I wonder?

To relieve stress on the ball joints, choose a coil spacer rather than a top-plate spacer...or better yet choose a lift that does not involve spacers at all.

I'm still confused on how a top mount spacer ARE going to put the ball joints at a bad angle while longer coil springs ARENT going to...its the same thing. its pushing everything down to achieve the lift....if you do a lot of offroading than you will need new UCA's to get a desirable ball joint angle to not wear them out prematurely. correct?

It's not the same thing. When you use taller coil springs, you lose down travel and gain up travel but the suspension can still only cycle within the same limits it did with the stock coils. When you put a top plate spacer on top of the shock, the suspension can now droop lower than it could without the spacer. That additional droop is what can stress the ball joints. Additionally, with taller spacers, because the shock is spaced down, you run the risk of the shock itself bottoming out before the LCA hits the bump stops.
