lift question on my 18 tacoma

im wanting to lift my truck around a inch and half in the front and do 1 inch in the rear. I don’t off-road my truck I bought Incase I ever need to use 4wd. But I hear all these things about the needle bearing but then you watch the forums and you see all the trucks with lift and none of them talk about it. But just wonder what my best option will be because I’m wanting to run cooper st maxx because they are a true 32 in size. Thanks here is a picture of my truck as of now

 

A lift may or may not help with a larger tire. The issue is generally the width of the tire and it’s contact with the cab mount.

The needle bearing is weak and under increased stress from a lift, will break. The a small lift will have a small impact so it may be a non issue.

I replaced it before I did my lift and you’re right I don’t talk about it. It’s an inexpensive mod that takes about 1.5 hours of work.

It’s your choice whether you want to deal with it or not but highly likely that it won’t be warrantied by Toyota.
