    3” lift
Hey all! I have had this truck for quite some time and purchased it in this configuration. All these years i just figured it was a 3” lift and now that i’m a member here. Time to find out for sure.

I will be changing to much higher quality lift kit package very soon because i’m not a fan of having blocks in the rear for when i go on the trail.

Rear has 2” blocks confirmed wanting to see if this is a 3” front lift.

    Tires are 265/65r17

Here is a photo of the front suspension to see what they did up there, Apears OEM shocks still? Looks like it has JBA High Caster UCAs will those be worth keeping?

Would love to hear feedback on what i should replace along with suggestions on a quality lift for mild adventures but mostly on road.

    Thank you all in advance.

Keep the JBas. Bilstein 5100s or 6112s up front. Thanks have zero issues with a 2” block bit of set on replacing, put a progressive multi leaf aal in the rear over a single aal imo.

    3” lift
Thank you for the advice, how did they achieve 3” lift on the front of my truck with the OEM shocks, is it an aftermarket spring in there? thanks again

Looks like there is a spacer on top of the OE coilover.

Looks like there is a 1.5” hockey puck on top of the coil.

i must have looked over that because it looked oem with old pitting rust on it thought it was original, weird how that 1.5 puck makes the front sit up so high.

‘It’s a 2x proposition. 1” = 2 at the wheel. 1.5” lift at the coilover is 3” at the wheel.

thank you very much for the explanation man, rats i haven’t heard the best things about the spacer setups.

Would you say the best bet would be ditch the spacers and order some Bilstein 6112 front strut assembly’s?

Looks like you got a 2007. Assuming 16 YO OEM coilovers. 6112’s are a good choice. Get new coil springs. Have the vendor assemble the coilovers. If you plan to add weight to a stock truck, my truck wallowed in the turns and went with 600 lb coil springs.

The JBA high caster UCA'a take care of the issue of lack of downward travel with a stock upper balljoint/UCA so there isn't any issues with you using stock front shocks and springs with spacers but if you can afford to replace the front shocks/springs/and spacers with aftermarket Bilstein 6112's it'll have a better ride = especially offroad.

That was my thoughts exactly with the UCA it should keep me pretty well safe with spacers but those shocks look very oem and old so that’s why i was like yeah i better do something with those, at the very least worst case scenario, get new shocks with spacers in place. Will those 6112s give me the same lift as i have now? Or are they more or less 2-2.5 maxed out?

I realize now i posted this not in the suspension subsection so i do apologize.

I'm fairly sure once the 6112's give that much lift (3") the ride gets much stiffer but I'm no expert on 6112's.

Stock TRD front springs/shocks (a lot of other changes) with 37's.
