Hey, I'm new to the forum and I've been considering putting a lift on my 09 double cab prerunner. Originally I had wanted to do a 3 inch coil over- style lift, but I wasn't sure about UCA issues or other problems down the road. Also I might be interested in something a little higher. I want to spend the money, and do it the right way without a body lift or spacers so I don't have any problems down the road. After research and reading the threads on here, this is what I've come up with:

    Camburg 4" lift spindles
    Front and Rear Bilstein 5100s
    Rear 2" toytec add-a-leafs
    285/70/17 BFG All-Terrain T/A KO
    17x9 Moto Metal 955

    Questions:
    Problems with this setup?
    How much trimming (if any)?
    Ride quality?
What would I have to adjust the shocks to to have a level ride?
    Suggestions or comments?

Looks like a good set up. You should leave the shocks at the 0" setting.

wasting your money with UCAs on a Spindle lift. the spindles give you 4" of lift and maintain stock geometry. So unless you plan on stacking a 3" there's no reason you will need UCAs to get your alignment right. Unless youre having issues with tires rubbing UCAs on the spindle lift. which is a posibility.

To the OP:You will need Brake lines for the spindles and you should look into a shim and or Carrier Bearing drop. You should leave the 5100s at 0". but you will probably need an extra inch in the back to have a level truck Unless youre doing a 2" AAL on a TSB.

Thanks for the fast replies! Should I be concerned with my tires rubbing on the spindles?
and I dont have the tsb so I'll look into it, or maybe a leaf pack in the future when I have the money

You should be fine with that size.

I think a custom leaf pack is the way to go with this. I have the 2" AAL on the back right now with 3" up front and it sits pretty level. The spindles push the wheels out a little so you should be fine as long as you get a wheel with the right backspace.

Sounds like a solid setup. I thought of getting the spindles, but dont like the fact that it pushes the wheel out 3/4". What color is your tacoma?

I'm pretty sure Camburg is still settling back in after the offroad expo this past weekend. I'm waiting to hear back from them as well.

I called camburg and the guy there says that they make 2 models of the spindles- one for keeping the sway bar and one that gets rid of it... any suggestions? The guy on the phone said that the ride isnt going to change that much because im adding stiffer shocks.

If you drive on the road often, keep the sway bar.

Thanks for all the help! I finally got around to buying everything (christmas and birthday definitely helped!) and I lifted it last night. I'm very happy with the results as of now, and plan on getting alignment done tomorrow morning.
