(In the near future: next month or so) I have finally decided on what lift/tire combo I want to go with. I just want to get your opinions on a few final questions before I pull the trigger, I don’t want to end up disappointed.
    What im thinking:
Toytec Adj. ULK lift set at 3”
    LR USC’s
285/75-16 General Tires Grabber on stock FJ rims
    (Possible 1.25 spidertraxs wheel spacers)

I have done lots of research on what I want, seen similar set-ups of members, and have compare problems/issues/etc. with them. Just everyone is a little different. I know that the tire will fit on the rim but due to the backspacing I wanted your opinions on 1.25 Spidertraxs with the FJ rims. Do you think I need them / worth possible vibration issues? Or are the UCA’s enough to clear the tire in all situations? Will the spacers + UCA’s be less trimming of the inner fenders? Since they are adjustable coilovers, does a higher or lower setting cause a difference in the amount of fender rub? I know I will need to do a little trimming with the 285’s, but I just want what will be best. Opinions are greatly appreciated.

When you say the 16" FJ rims, do you mean the TRD FJ ones? If so, those are 4.5" BS. The spacers would likely give you even more rubbing.

I believe so... these are the ones I have. So would you say the UCA's are good enough?

Why FJ rims? Why not get ones with correct backspace and offsets and eliminate the spacers? Spacers need to be checked periodically and double the work to remove wheels to check. 285's will surely require fender trim as I had to...but lucky if you don't.
You can probably get new rims for less than 200 ea. Not sure what FJ wheels go for...but compare wheel / tire options.

    Good enough for.....?

Are we talking about eliminating rubbing here or getting a good alignment?

You won't rub the stock UCA's with 285's on the FJ TRD wheels.

Good enough... not not rub the UCA or have major trimming. Ive read in many posts that if you go with stock rims the backspacing isn't enough to not rub... Do the FJ TRD rims have different specs than the stock ones?... I thought they had the same specs... am I wrong?.. And I appreciate the input KPT!
