So I've read a lot about lifts on here and I've found lots of useful information but I'm still completely undecided. I have about $700 to spend and I'm somewhat mechanically inclined. I'm looking for aroun 3" of lift (I've read that a lot are actually 2.5 which is fine.) I do practically zero off roading but I would like to change that to 2-3 times a year off road. I have a 2008 Dbl Cab LB 4X4 with the rear leaf TSB completed (4 leafs). I don't want to do spacers because from what I read they're horrible. I'm also by BF Goodrich 265/70/17 Rugged Terrain A/T. I was looking at the Toytec website but agin there are a lot of choices out there. Thanks in advance for your help.

Ok after checking funds I've decided to go with toytec's OME Suspension lift Kit. 885's for the front, AAL for Tsb. Does anyone know if the kit comes with new U-bolts? Also do I need the rear shock stone guards?

Do You know what size U-bolt I'll need. they sell 7.5" or 8.5". It says 7.5" works with the AAL but doesn't specify if it works with the TSB also in place.

    I have a related 5100-lift question.

I have the rear TSB and 265/75/16's on a 8" wide rim. I want (something) in the front to level the truck and eliminate my tire rubbing.

My question is, if I go with 5100's, is it standard to install two (where needed, in this case, the front), or replace all four shocks with 5100's? Also, if replacing just the front, what is the method for determining how much lift is needed to level the truck? If I were to eye-ball it, I'd say 1.5-2" is needed, but I'm assuming there is a more precise method, least I pull out of the shop with my nose in the air and my ass dragging behind me

I'm a PreRunner, so off-roading isn't really an issue/option, but I do tow and haul a bit. The most I've hauled to date was 1,000lbs, before my new tires and rims but after the rear TSB.

IIRC, the middle setting levels 2nd gens out pretty good.

To check your measurements, measure from the center of the wheel hub to the top of the fender

if youre not lifting the rear, you don't have to get the 5100s (though, they do have a better ride)

Hey everyone. I finally pulled the trigger and ordered the OME lift kit from toytec assembled with 885's, 1.5" AAL for TSB, and Dif Drop. I'm also going to order some UCA's but am not sure which to get. Total Chaos sounds like one of the best but I do very light off roading and mostly freeway drives. Are LR UCA's an okay supplement to save $200. I have a DBL Cab LB w/ 265/70/17 tires. Also do I need longer bump stops?

I have a Related question about the 5100's

So here's the whole story I'm riding stock besides the rear TSB im running 285/70/r16 at the moment which will be swapped out soon. I'm looking to add 5100's to the front set at 2.5 the question is can Literally just order the set of 5100's and put them in or do i need anything else. I know the alignment must be done but keep in mind im swapping out the tires literally days after so alignment will be done then

Just want to make sure im not missing anything thanks guys
