Thanks for taking the time to look.

I'm new here and new with trucks altogether, and recently got a 2019 TRD Off Road with TRD Pro Rims and Pro Comp Xtreme MT2 265/70/17.

From an aesthetic standpoint I would like the truck to sit a little bit higher and wouldn't be opposed to increasing my tire size down the road, but would really like something that wouldn't have my current tire/wheel setup look too small or strange.

From a performance standpoint I would like the additional clearance and wouldn't want to do anything that would jeopardize performance or potentially safety. I see myself doing fire service roads and other mild to moderate 4x4 driving. I do like to backpack a couple times a year in southern Utah so I definitely see using the Tacoma out there on future trips.

Budget - I would like to be under 1k for parts if at all possible, but not sure if it is.

    Thanks for the input.

Welcome and give Marie over at @HeadStrong Off-Road a PM or call
That's a tough budget but you'll be close on getting some 5100s and a add a leaf for that. Not the prettiest lift but will get the job done.

Thanks for the info on the budget! That's why I am asking because early on I need to decide what I'm going to spend my money on. I'm getting a few recovery items, but also trying to decide if I go with a lift/level situation or straight for a low-pro front bumper, or just get sliders and start saving towards one of the other two. Trying to gain some information so I can choose which route will be best for the short and long-term.

Also, realize that the more weight you add in increasing tire size, the different the truck will perform until you are forced to regear.

Luckily, 265/70/17 is a GREAT size for these trucks and won’t kill your power. Definitely check out lifts with Marie as @JaCado said.
    Good luck

My recommendation would be Bilstein 6112s for the fronts and 5160s for the rears. The 6112s can be set at 1” or 1.5” of lift in the front and you won’t need to change your upper control arms and the truck should sit close to level. Later you could raise the rear based on your use and your budget and reset the fronts for more lift. You will also want to change you UCAs if you raise the front.

This is a very similar suspension to the 2015 TRD Pros... but with a little room to grow...

    Thanks!

I got. Buddy who does fleet purchasing for a big company and he gets some good discounts so I am going to get a few options priced out.

Still haven't heard back from my friend who can get a discount, however, after my research I keep finding myself leaning towards the OME 2" lift.

I like the reviews of the darak leaf springs and I like the fact that with this 2" lift I can avoid the UCA replacement and not have to fiddle with the break lines. This is a little over my budget, but that may just mean I wait a few months on the sliders and I sell my stock sidesteps and suspension to recoup some of the money.

I'm still a bit torn whether this route or going the bilstein route is better. It feels like i'm splitting hairs a bit.

Most of the time this will be my daily driver, but I would also like to use this to tow small trailers etc. and when I do get up the hill and go offroad, I can get after it a bit.

If there is a better idea than what I mentioned feel free to give you opinion.
