Installed OME 885X springs and 5100 Bilsteins sometime ago. I have no added bumpers or armor. Ride quality is stiffer than I would like. Find its ok with passengers and or with added cargo in cab or the bed. Seems as though the springs just dont absorb or soak up bumps well enough. Just to stiff in my opinion.

Does anyone make a taller spring to lift approximately two inches with a spring rate lower than the 885X rate of 590lbs? Searched and haven’t been able to find anything. Thanks!

Assuming your 5100's have the adjustable spring perch/collar where you can set the lift height. Are setting a lift or no lift with the perch? did you keep or can you get stock springs? I think the SR5's were rated at 540lbs and the TRDs 590lbs??? no too positive.

5100’s set at 0. Still have stock TRD Sport springs. Not interested in preloading stock springs to achieve goal of 2 inches lift. Been there done that didnt like the ride quality.

I hear you. I know some folks have used the 540 springs, but had to put a 2" top hat spacer lift on so they could leave setting at zero on the 5100's. We had the issues with too much pre load and too light of a spring on a 15" x 550, so we added/squeezed a 16" x 650 springs on a mid travel shock-luckily the longer spring worked. Now zero pre load and got the 3" we needed and zero coil bind and comfortable ride. Sometimes the OME's are just way too stiff even with a lighter load spring.

Something else to consider is that the Bilstein shocks are valved digressively, theyll feel a little stiffer. Secondly would need to know which setting your on. The more lift you throw in there, the stiffer its going to be.

Sub'd. I was looking at this setup but I cant stand a harsh ride. I know harsh is relative but still. Gonna be hauling the fam in it.
