"Hurr durr, you'll never use coil overs to their potential. Hurr durr I send my shocks to down south motorsports."
1: seeing that there is nowhere to "go fast" here, I don't really see you using yours to their potential. So you'd be just as fine with smoothies or emulsion shocks.
2: I've spent the last 13 years working in the suspension industry. Just because you've spent thousands of dollars on different setups, doesn't mean you understand all the inner workings.
3: the guy isn't trolling you, you're just butthurt that he's not listening to you.

Hurr durr? I didn't realize you rode the short bus. I will try to use smaller words so you can understand better. You don't even know where I live or what I do to my truck .. I am running OME right now and the 886s are still sagging, plus I can't pass up a set of aftermarket lowers and a set of CO's for under $1k.
Let me guess, are you a 'professional' at 4wheelparts?
Butthurt? The dude has 1k posts and is asking what new people ask. There is tons of info on this forum answering what he's asking. What did you or he expect? If you've spent 13 years working in the suspension industry why not shed some light on the subject? I am certainly no expert but I am giving him the best advice I have, you on the other hand are just insulting me and not helping at all. But like I already said, he's made his mind up.

Nice, personal attacks. That's about what I would expect from someone who gets upset when someone doesn't listen to them.
Can't say I've ever worked at 4wp, only ever shopped there once. But I did work for Pro Circuit, American Honda Racing, Factory Connection, Showa(prototype development), Fox(both MTB and off-road racing) and am doing consulting work on a project with Ohlins, now that I live in Texas.

    this^

there's a lot of derp in that long paragraph above. But I don't feel like pointing it out and going round for round over something stupid.

The op asked for opinions, and countered them with questions and opinions based on what he has read, that is what a debate/discussion is all about.

OME is fine, I've ridden in one, but coilovers do trump. Who cares if he isn't taking it off any sweet jumps, comfort is subjective, and if he has the money and wants to go c/o so be it.

I can tell you that the Icon setup on a buddies Denali rides really great compared to a traditional lift and was well worth the money. The coilover setup on my lowered truck was leaps and bounds better than a regular static drop. Again, I am a coilover guy and will be running coilovers on this truck.

That's what I found funny about the thread. He just needs to decide if he wants grey, black, or blue and place his order.

Neither of you offering helpful advice for the guy either .. and the advice I give is swinging my proverbial dick around. You can't compare a denali with any suspension to a Tacoma, that's apples and oranges.
    Merry xmas I guess

You mean comparing suspensions of a $35000 truck to an $85000 truck isn't a legit comparison? Dick.

Dude, where in the fuck did I compare the two? I'm speaking from experience on two different platforms, clearly. And what I posted may not have been insightful to you, but who really cares? Look, you've said you're done twice but still here. Move along.

No. $15k no one said it was fresh off the lot. Again, where was I comparing the two? I simply stated that one lift was superior than the other on a certain platform, two actually.

You don't have to agree or prefer what I like. I'm completely ok with that. My opinion is coilovers are a better choice, period. Do I need to reiterate once more than MY opinion is coilovers are a better choice?

Some of you like to argue for the sake of arguing and to toss your e-dick around. Bored much?

My e-dick is plenty girthy but that being said - all my arguments are valid. Where you are comparing a diesel truck with icons to a Tacoma and then denying it.
Never! Look at my recent posts lol.

So a Denali is a strict diesel platform? Weird guess that 6.2 gas motor was swapped in after purchased...

I don't see any questions in my original post, other than if anyone else is torn on which lift to buy. It seems as though you can't make your mind up on which setup to go with, since you have several "waiting to be installed". I also made this thread to find out firsthand how each one rode, not just taking a bunch of people's word on a particular setup. It seems as though you could have benefited from something like this since you clearly can't make up your mind what the hell you want to do. "Great Ride" is subjective. And I don't care for bling, I just want to buy once, and cry once. I didn't post any questions, other than to see if anyone else is torn between setups.

    More like Progressive or Digressive.
