Hey all, I'm a newbie and thought maybe i could get some advice, wondered if any of you may have experience with this.... I have a 2010 4cyl 4x4 access cab, and I'm thinking of upgrading to the new 2013 TRD Quad cab.. I have 285 70r17 duratrecs on mine now, can I get away with a 2" levelling kit on the TRD and run my old tires? with Toyota not supporting any lifts whatsoever in order to keep your warranty doesnt leave many options....

If you are in the US, get this in writing and take it to your Attorney General.
    That is illegal.

Toyota does not need to provide warranty service to aftermarket parts, but they can not legally void the warranty on the entire truck because of unrelated modifications.

Find a dealer that will do the lift, swap wheels as part of your deal and use them for all service work. They won't deny warranty on something they installed. If you do the lift you can be denied for driveshaft, oversized tires can also deny transmission/clutch, wheel bearings, steering ect if they open a case with Toyota. If you have a good service history with one dealer they will usually take care of you. However if you just use them for warranty you are less likely they will cooperate with issues that may be caused by modifications.

I would assume van isl would be Vancouver bc so that won't apply. From Toyota Canada website

Some things you should know about your warranty:

    Warrantor
Toyota warrants each new vehicle. For the purpose of warranty in Canada, Toyota is Toyota Canada Inc.

    Warranty Begins
The warranty period begins on the warranty registration date as shown on the vehicle information statement. The warranty registration date is the original in-service date and may be earlier than the date of sale.

    Warranty Application
This warranty is applicable to any vehicle registered in Canada and normally operated within Canada or the United States mainland.

    Where To Go For Service
Warranty service is only obtainable from an authorized Toyota Dealer.

    Towing
When your vehicle is inoperative due to a warranted part failure which is covered under the New Vehicle Warranty, towing service is covered to the nearest authorized Toyota dealer.

    Nullifying The New Vehicle Warranty
Certain factors or conditions such as negligence, modification or accidents can nullify any of the warranties. Your local Toyota dealer can advise you of all of the conditions that could compromise the vehicle's warranty coverage.

This is a simple overview of the New Vehicle Warranty. For more detailed information on the above, please contact the Toyota Customer Interaction Centre Monday to Friday between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM EST. Please call our toll-free number 1-888-TOYOTA-8 (1-888-869-6828) or your local Toyota Dealer. Our email address is toyota_feedback@toyota.ca. Or download the 2012 Owner's Manual Supplement.

The Toyota Dealer that did the frame replacement recall for my 2001 was fine with all of my changes I made. Body lift, suspension lift and more.

They removed all this and reinstalled this on the new frame. They also installed my adjustable bilstiens at that time. For no charge, as they had to tear the truck down anyways.

Try a few different dealers, mine had no issue, and even mentioned that Toyota was ok with this as they knew that a large part of this truck market made modifications to their trucks.

    Thats my 2 cents.

OP might be in Canada though, might be getting screwed.

Definitely worth checking with a dealer to get their input.
