    Yes sir
You might, I kind of doubt it though. Do your rims stick out at all past your fenders currently? I'm pretty sure no offset means they don't but I can't remember for sure. If they don't, you'll want like a 3/4" wheel spacer or at least a 1/4" wheel spacer to clear your UCA's. Don't sweat it too much, I'd just get the tires and when you install them see what needs to be trimmed if any. I didn't need to trim at all when I got my BFG KO's in 285/70/R17 on stock rims. However I did need to trim when I got my mickey thompson classic III's because they're 4.5 BS and -12mm offset and so my tire contacted a bit of my front bumper.

This is how I current sit. I may just bite the bullet and order them. Don't like the idea of cutting up a new truck. image.jpg

Well.... I wouldn't buy the 285's if you aren't ready to cut a bit of that front fender....

I gotcha... I'll just keep researching I guess. The biggest thing is I don't want to do a cab mount chop.

You shouldn't need to, some guys do but I never did. Like I said, I removed my front mud flaps and trimmed a tiny bit of the front fender. It's raining right now pretty hard but if it stops I'll grab some photos of my trimming!

You won't "need" to do the CMC. There is a chance you will hit at full lock but for everyday driving that shouldn't be a problem, just never go full lock if that's what it takes. I have 4.53 bs wheels with 285s and I didn't do CMC. I don't hit either. Most of the trimming was on the black splash guard thing under the bumper. My understanding is that most people who do the CMC need the space when they wheel their rigs.

Okay I gotcha. That makes sense. I may give it a shot then and just see if I can make it work. Is there any difference in people in 05-11s and 12+ year models as far as how bad and where they rub?

    Every truck is different. 285.70.17

Cab mount chop was absolutely necessary. BUT.... It's really not that big of a deal. Little grinder and some primer and call it a day. You can trim what needs trimmed in 30 mins.

I just worry about the repercussions from the Toyota dealer if there was ever any sort of frame issue of anything honestly.

You're probably better off not doing them then... I can't think of something the dealer would take issue on the frame unless you were in an accident and sustained frame damage... On the front... Behind the wheels. Seemed like a long shot so I just ground a bit down. But if you've got any doubts, don't do it because I almost lost control when I originally didn't grind the cab mount and was going around a bend.

Love them wheelz.. so much crap to spend money on with these Tacomas!

OP - If you're doing a 3" lift have you considered the need to upgrade the Upper Control Arms so you can align things properly? Everything I've heard suggests anything 2.5" or higher starts reducing alignment options.

I haven't honestly but may look into it. When I got my truck allignement they said that every was good and they had plenty of room to work with. Not sure exactly what that means but it drives great. No pull at all.

    Hello,
Have you guys with the Mickey Thompson Classic III had to use spacers? What size lug nuts and type of lug nuts did you use? I tried to install the rims on my truck that has 1.5 inch studs and the lug nuts won't thread far enough to keep the wheel on. I used the 60 degree acorn bulge that was recommended by Mickey Thompson. Also, did you have trouble mounting the OEM tire sensors? They don't fit in the wheels either.

Wish I could help you more but I had a local shop put them on for me. I can tell you however that they used gorilla lug nuts. I would assume you'd just want the lug nuts that are 137.9mm (I think that's the number, maybe double check) and they should work for you. I didn't use wheel spacers because they were 4.5 BS and I believe the offset was -12mm off the top of my head.

Thanks anyway. Installer was talking about replacing studs with half inch longer. A lot of work and more money than I want to spend.
