I am a new owner of a 2016 crew cab sport. I'm looking to put a lift on it along with new tires and wheels. I have never done this before so I am searching for some advice. I have found a few pictures of almost identical set ups as to what I would like to do. Would anyone be able to inform me what size lift, tire, and wheels theses are? Thanks in advance! image.jpg

Ok so here's the deal. Welcome to TW.

There's more than tons of this sort of information on here already. All you have to do is use the search button.

But I'll give advice at the very least. Do you actually plan on off-roading? Or will this be always on pavement? To get these sized tires, you need a lift. (Tires are probably 285/75/16). But there's a lot of ways to lift a truck and they all depend on what your applications are with the truck. You need to find out what lifting method you can afford and one that will work best with you truck.

Thanks a lot for the response. It will be mainly on pavement. I am looking at a tuff country 4" suspension lift, but that's just one in the price range I would like to spend so I'm not 100% on that specific one.

Once again, thanks a lot. I have the 4x4 model also. I am going to check out that link for the wheels right now. Don't mean to seem like I need guided through everything but if anyone would have a link to a specific tire and lift that they have had good experiences with it would be greatly appreciated!

Since you'll be spending most of the time on pavement, I recommend a good All Terrain tire. Don't do mud terrain unless you're prepared for poor pavement performance.

Everyone seems to like the look of the new KO2s and they are reviewed as really good tires already.

Judging by the front license plate I'd make the call on it being a toytec lift. Def stealth 6 wheels by SCS thou

Awesome. I really like those wheels and believe those will be my final choice. Would the 20x9 or 17x8.5 be recommended to have a setup similar to the picture I first listed?

Haha alright so the 17x8.5 would be what was used in that picture. And I didn't even notice the toytec license plate right in front of me. Any idea what toytec lift that would be? And here's what I found for the SCS stealth six image.jpg

Yeah these wheels are the shit. Didn't know they make a big ass one though. Keep searching and you will find your lift preference. Lots of threads around

does turning tires to black wall out count? How bout added snug top rebel.
Call toytec and ask exactly what that truck has lift wise. I'm sure they can help you out. Most people on TW will recommend an adjustable coil over setup, which also has the most options as far as shock and spring brand. This is why you need an experts help and that does not mean your local 4wheel parts.
Most here will recommend against pucks or spacers placed above the strut, and against a drop bracket or DB lift which moves all your front suspension points 3-6" away from the frame. Both of these lifts are good aesthetically, but both cause issues. These are the popular lifts at 4wheel parts.
Most here will always go against 20" rims, they really are only for looks, they do nothing to help on or off road manners, 16-17" rims let you have more tire which will allow for better off road manners and allow you to lower your tire pressure when off-road to help add traction.
The link listed earlier for what you need to know when lifting a third gen is a great starting point for your quest for knowledge.

Great info. I began a conversation with toytec and will be calling them in the morning. Thanks for all of the great information and advice so far, much appreciated.
