I have a 2013 Tacoma with 200k miles. I need to do struts, shocks and leafs but I am not ready for tires. Should I do a lift kit which includes all even though I am not changing wheels and tires. Currently using 265/70 16 falkens. Will it look and perform well? Which kit is best? Or should I do oem replacements?

Welcome to Tacoma World. What are your goals for the truck? How much do you want to lift - a little, normal/average, or monster truck territory? How big of a tire do you eventually want to fit? Keep in mind we have independent front suspension (IFS) and lift does not equal more clearance which is a counter-intuitive thing until you understand how it works.

My opinion: You can run the 265/70/16 but it may look a little bit small if lifted. Keep your lift under 2" unless you like wrenching on it daily and spending boat loads of money on crappy fuel economy. There is no "best" kit, this depends on your wants & needs. If you just want OEM replacements for now, look in the 3rd gen for sale ads and see if you can find a set that someone took off with low mileage.

If you keep the lift around 2" those tires will look fine. In fact I wouldn't go bigger than 265/75/16 even with a small lift. When you're ready for new tires upsize then.

If you go any bigger than that there are more negatives than positives for me.

I'm sorta in the same situation. I'm needing new struts soon too and it won't cost much more to go up 2" at the same time. I'm already using 275/75/16's.

That is what I did to my F150 2 years ago. It needed new shocks and raised the truck 2". I'd already upsized tires slightly on it as well.
