I think there are two different things going on here. I think some people have lights on after the truck is lifted and other are having the VSC kick in suddenly in the middle of a corner without the lights being a problem from the start.

Mine does the latter. I have a 2006 dbl which has VSC but no switch on the dash to turn it off. I put a 5100's on all 4 corners with eibach springs in the front set to .85 and firestone air bags in the rear which I run at 5-8 lbs. when not loaded. I have stock 16 inch rims with 265/75/16 bfg rugged terrain tires.

This last weekend I had the truck loaded down with camping gear, and family with 20 lbs. in the air bags on a twisty road and the VSC kicked in hard and suddenly in the middle of a corner. Scared the hell out of me. It did this twice more on the way up and three times on the way back. The last time I had a car tailgating me because I had slowed down trying not to have the thing go off again. It went off anyways and I was nearly rearended. I am going to try the recalibration but this has put doubt in my mind with this truck.

I have noticed that my stearing wheel was not perfectly straight after having the truck aligned, and I will try to get that fixed as well. Right now I feel my best option is to wire in a kill switch for the VSC and be done with it.

ok this may sound silly - bear with me...
Pressing the vsc button for 3 seconds at start up turns it off?
What about adding an off delay timer under the dash? Every time I start my truck the timer will kick in for 3 seconds, shutting off the vsc. Think this will work?

At a stop , press anc hold the VSC button for 3-5 seconds , AUTO LSD and VSC OFF will illuminate on the dash , keep holding the button till AUTO LSD goes out leaving only VSC OFF illuminated

I can't read through all 200+ posts here but
    I've got a '13
And after screwing around all weekend I hit something & the VSC light came on, disabled the VSC system and won't turn off.

It's in for an alignment now- do you think a tire shop or the mechanic next door could do the instructions on the PDF from page 1?
And does this calibrate anything else but the yaw sensor? (Speedometer for larger tires )

    Thanks guys

For future reference, and since I haven't trouble-shot this yet, my VSC slip light comes on about 20 seconds into driving in a straight line. It first happened during this last front wheel alignment, after changing an lca and having the shop hand-align the wheels.

OK, I just stumbled on this thread while trying to figure out what the hell is wrong with my 2013 TRD sport. I had it lifted 3 weeks ago. 6" rough country, 35x12.5x17's on 878 Helo's. first two weeks, no issues other than my steering wheel is slightly off center (1/4" to right). Monday I had my front right wheel lock up at 40 mph in a left hand curve. I couldn't make it do it again and shook I off as a "freak thing". Yesterday it happened 4 times in 30 miles on a crooked paved road. Its always the outside wheel in a curve. No beeping, no lights. That doesn't sound like VSC based on what Im reading here???

If there is no beep it's not a VSC / Traction Control engagement , are you sure your tires aren't rubbing ?

Absolutely positive. The brake pedal surges like abs is activated when this happens and I get pulled in the direction of the wheel that's locking up.

That's a VSC / Traction Control engagement then , are you certain there was no beeping ? Maybe you had the radio on ?

I had the same issues ,VSC would kick in around corners and pull me into the other lane .Asked dealership about a recalibration got the deer in headlights stare back at me.Truck was not safe.So I pulled the VSC andABS fuse(#2 I think) put some black tape over the dash lights and bingo no more issues mind you I don't have VSC and ABS but it is a lifted 4x4

No beeping. When it happened 4 times yesterday I turned the radio off and killed all the other sounds in the truck so I could get a good idea what was going on. No dash lights, no beeping, just surging brake on 1 wheel at a time. Scary shit!

Interesting , I wonder if the beep is disabled in the later models

Im guessing that the abs fuse will be my resolution as well. Im gonna call the dealership tomorrow, and the off road shop that dismy lift, wheels and tires. Im guessing the dealership tells me that its my fault for lifting it, and the off road shop will likely tell me something similar.

I talked to the rep from the off road shop this morning. H emailed me after he made some phone calls. Here is his response:

"I just talked to Rough Country. They have only had it happen a few times. They said they have seen the alignment, stretched abs line, or the abs sensor might not be seated in all the way. I have not had this happen before".
