    I have a stock 2006 Tacoma 4X4.
Any suggestions on a lift kit, wheels & tires?
I'd like to go with BF Goodrich 33's but I don't want to ruin the ride. Do I even need a lift kit?
How big a tire & wheel can I go without a lift?

I had a 2005 Tacoma 4x4 and put a 6" suspension lift on it with 18" rims with BF Goodrich 35's on it and never could get the shimmy out of it. It was like the tires would never balance. They gave me 4 new tires...it did the exact same thing. So I sold it. That was and is the prettiest truck in this city. I pass it all the time.

Yes you pretty much need a lift to fit 33s.

Toytec, Old Man Emu, SAW, Icon all make good products- What is your goal with lifting/putting 33's?? Just the look...Offroading??

Welcome to the board...Look around and you'll get plenty of ideas and tips/opinions!!

We just like to run across the beaches of the Outer Banks of NC. The stock tires do ok but a lil wider tire does even better. The sand out there can be funny at times. This is my 7th Toyota 4X4 and my second 2nd generation Tacoma.

Yeah man...I hear you about the wider tires.

Check out any of those brands I listed or any of the names you find in the suspension threads and you'll prolly have good luck!!
