Unfortunately our trucks have so many factors that go into making a certain lift combo work. Also with a taller lift remember to increase your bump stops, because the shocks can get damaged from over compression.

I used ome drop kit. Was under truck today (while it was on ground), looked at angles and they are very horizontal‍♂️ I was surprised as well but hey they look very good for 2.75 in lift.

From what I can tell is that I'm doing everything correct and truck road great at three inch spacer lift that was on previously and that was without any upgrades or drop kits. Now its all new and upgraded and adjusted. But nobody has done 3.75in...just 3.5 in then everyone is at 6in.

Neither aftermarket UCAs nor diff drop spacers can overcome the fact that your double wishbone suspension has a limited range of motion. Things bind up and stop moving. Also eventually your CV axle will will bind up as well (if you have one). Watch the tinkerers adventure videos.

I have not heard of a single person doing over a 3” lift with spacers, shocks, UCAs, and diff spacers. Those doing 4”+ are using drop brackets. I’m ignoring long travel and solid axle.

Looking at cv axles in a static state are not the same as at full compression and extension.

    Bookmarked for Friday.

Adding spacers will make ride quality substantially worse

I'm not doing over 3inches with spacers. I have 2.75 in lift with coilovers and was going to add ¼ spacer above top hats to get to 3.25 in lift.

Spacers above top hats will not effect ride quality one bit. Spacers between coils and top hat will because they stiffen the spring for lift.

RC actually makes a 3.5" lift for the 3rd gen. But I wouldn't bet on their kits. At full droop the CV try-bearings has to bind.

You go any higher and things will wear faster or worse, they'll break faster. You're already pushing the limits of lifting a 3rd gen, leave well enough alone!

I can almost guaranty in the near future, you'll be on this Forum complaining about the front end problems you are having. Bye-bye Toyota reliability.

But, best of luck to you my friend.

Well I put the ¼in spacers in and I'm at 3⅛ in lift now so I'm doubting that I'll have any issues but if I do I will just take them out‍♂️

It's likely 3.5" on a 2nd gen and 2.5" on a 3rd gen, but I've never installed one on either. There just isn't enough available droop on a 3rd gen to go above ~3".

That's OK I don't see half the peoples points commenting because it seems they just don't like spaces. Even though most lift kits suggest the same size spacer to be used to get rid of taco lean. I used same size spacers anyone else would use to get rid of lean witch gave me less than a half inch extra lift putting me at almost exactly 3in. I had 3 in spacers before for two years with zero issues. So I'm at ⅛ in higher than the space lift but with upgraded shocks and springs. It drives great so far‍♂️ people are acting like I lifted it 9 inches.
