I went with ome's carrier bearing drop kit...and now that I'm thinking about I can't remember if I ended up using it or not. I'll have to look. I also have a ecgs bushing that I didn't install and should have. I think anyway. I have a slight vibration under 25 but it doesn't go away in 4wd. I put the tires on at the same time so I'm not sure if it's the tires or what.

Do you guys think extended brake lines needed for lift: 2.5" to 3" front & 2" rear?
    (2016 Tacoma)

    Front: 6112 notch #6
    Rear: 5160, 3-leaf AAL + overload

From what I've researched (I don't have that lift yet) the 5160's have like 9-3/4" extended length. So they may limit you from hanging on a brake line. I'll let someone else with the real-life experience chime in though. I'd say you'd be fine but it's not a bad upgrade just to be safe.

I plan to run the 3 leaf AAL and the 5160's in the rear without the overload and I'm not worried about my brake lines. At least, not right now.

    You'll be fine at 2. There's guys running full Dakar/Deaver 402 packs with 5160s.

do you still have some rake? I'm trying to decide on the 887s or 885s with HS AAL.

I am kind of jumping in here but I have 887s with 5100s set on .85 with a toytec add a leaf and I have a .5" rake

Thanks for the info. I want to keep at least 0.5" of rake.

Finally lifted mine after 18 months and 20k miles. Before on the stock suspension, tires are 265/70/17 Nitto Terra Grapplers.

    20160226_135548.jpg

I wanted to bump it up about 2 inches and maintain the factory rake so I went with:
    OME 885 coils
5100s (2nd gen) all around, front set to 0
Wheelers 3 leaf Progressive AAL with overload leaf left in
    Driver side 1/4 in spacer

Did the ECGS bushing replacement as a preventive measure.

Gained about 2.25 inches front and back right after install, I anticipate the springs will settle about 0.5 - 1.0 inches in a week or so.
    20170720_134827.jpg 20170720_134401.jpg

Hard to tell with the slope of my driveway but the rear is about 0.75 inches higher in the rear than front even with the toolbox and 100lbs of stuff in it.

Rides just like the OEM bilstein shocks which I really liked, just wanted to have a little more height without making the tires look too small.

    Very pleased with the results.

This is pretty much what I want to do. I might take out the overload leaf though if the front springs will settle that much.

I considered it but I typically run around with up to 5-600 lbs of stuff in the bed plus people in the backseat on the weekends, without the O/L you might be restricted to a bit less, maybe 3-400lbs.

That would work for me. I have about 100-200 lbs in bed just about all times.

I like this. getting ready to pull trigger on new Tacoma. How is the ride compared to stock? I am in it 650 miles a week and the Tacoma is already little rough already. But It needs lift and some tires for better stance. Id be getting my dealer to install whatever lift I decide and put tires on it too. They said they can do whatever lift I want to add.
