    Bone stock. For now.
That's what I thought too. I think I'm gonna go ahead and pull the trigger on it. I just wanna make sure I get everyone's Christmas gifts first, that way I don't feel so guilty!

Do your 883's make for a stiff ride without any extra weight up front?

I want to take my sway-bar off but it worries me. Maybe I'll work up to taking it off. I'm sure it would make the ride a little softer

Overall ride quality and front end articulation. Essentially giving you true independent front suspension.

OME 883's, Dakar leafs, and OME shocks, All Pro Apex sliders w/fill plates, 10lb Powertank, generic pre-runner style front bumper with PIAA 520's, Kenwood 6.1 touch screen head unit, JBL 3 channel 760 watt amp, Kicker 6X8 component speakers w/tweeters mounted in the stock location, 10" Pioneer sub, Dynamat installed in the doors and the rest of the cab, custom dog "bench" installed behind the seats, etc...
I finished up the install of my OME kit this weekend. I went with the 883's after talking with Wheeler's and telling them I plan on installing a winch. After the first test ride I came away really impressed! The ride is so much better than the worn out TRD parts I replaced. The ride up front is firm but progressive with no perceptible harshness. The rear felt good as well and the old feeling of the axle wanting to slip out from under the truck was gone. Did I mention the stock stuff was shot?

I also removed the sway bar. I'm used to driving a lifted Jeep TJ with a Currie Anti-Rock swaybar on the road so I'm familiar with body sway. I was pleasantly surprised that there was very little body roll after I hustled the Taco through a few turns. A buddy who has 882's on his DC was along for the first test ride and he thought the ride was quite good as well. BTW, it was after seeing how well his did on a few of our trail runs that helped convince me to swap the TJ for a Taco.

Only take it off after you have strong aftermarket coils. If your riding on stock you probably shouldn't. The aftermarket coils are strong enough to handle each side on their own. I beleive stock coils have around a 350# spring rate and the aftermarkets on my truck are 620# spring rate.

Grey wire MOD, deck plate, diff breather MOD, 2nd gen. OME 883# on Tundra 5100's, OMD custom 3" leafsprings, rear shock relocation, Ivan Stewart TRD rims w/285/75/16's, '02 bumper MOD, Famous Fabrications sliders , LED interior/exterior lights, bed bar, Custom tube bumper, Old school KC day lighters,Red Ring 8" HID flood, Kenwood vhf 2M.. umm some other shit I'm forgetting right now

I'm running 2nd gen OME 883's on 1st gen Tundra 5100's set at 0 (stock ride height) it gave me 3" lift but have settled a little to about 2.75" , ride is firm but not harsh, the OME's are not quite as stiff as the Eibach/Toytec 3" coils As for the rear, you can easily bring your suspension to life with the addition of a couple Chevy truck springs, giving you lift/increased payload/great on road/offroad performance, you could easily do front & back for about $500 or less, biggest expense going to the front, much less for rear.

As for swaybar removal as mentioned by Mainmoe if your still on stock coils the ride /handling can be a little sketchy, when i took mine off before i had diff. coils it felt like I was gonna roll it on every turn haha, but after stiffening the front susp. All that went away..

I plan to get the OME/ Dakar lift with 883s. I may or may not take it off. Depending on how brave I am :notsure:

Well it takes a little getting used to but its no issue as long as you don't drive like a madman on street..

Just disco the links when you go offroading. Takes 5mins. Or test it and decide if you want to remove it. I disconnected mine then realized I could live without it so its gone.

With any aftermarket susp a sway bar I'd more of a hindrance than good. Ifs acts differently w/o a sway bar as compared to a solid axle rig with links and coils. It will ride much better after taking it off due to the fact the susp isn't fighting the bar.
