So I finally got around to installing my lift kit yesterday and ran into a few issues.

truck is a 2019 4x4 OR and I am using Icon 2.5 resi front coilovers and 2.0 resi rear shocks with a deaver 1.5" add a leaf.

the front reservoir brackets have the sway bar relocation built into them and after taking it for a shakedown cruise after installing everything it looks like the sway bar end link blew apart. (pictured above)

I don't have the correct adjustment wrench for the coilovers yet (ordered but wont get it till the 31st) and the front is still sitting at stock ride height. Am I damaging my endlinks by running them at this ride height?

Also I ordered a front differential drop kit but I'm not really sure if I'm even going to need it. I only plan on running the coilovers around 2" higher than stock. whats everybody's thoughts on this

    Also another question.

I bought these coilovers used with no installation instructions. I had them rebuilt and installed them as they were given to me by the rebuild shop (downsouth motorsports in San Diego)

are the bushings on the lower shock mount installed correctly? seems kind of strange that you would be pushing the shock closer to the sway bar

That's what I thought but the way that down south returned my coilovers after the rebuild the bushings on the lover mount push the shock towards the sway bar. I'm wondering if that's correctif you look closely at the upper sway bar end link the rubber seal is blown apart and there is grease all over the driver side axle

Also I know stock ride height should be fine but I'm now running stock ride height with the sway bar pulled forward 3/4" and down 1/2" with the relocation bracket. I'm wondering if that is what caused the endlink to blow apart

From personal experience, its really easy to jack up the sway bar links.
a couple twists without backup will shred the seal.

I had to replace mine after i put my lift kit on. No big deal, they are cheap and easy to replace.

Not ideal if you drive on highways and turn your truck.

I drive mine pretty regularly on the highway with no problems. Depends on how well you know your limits and your driving skills I guess. He’s got a good suspension though, he’ll be fine unless he plans to be the next Tokyo drifter. But yeah not ideal if he’s not ever taking it wheelin’.

May I ask where you got the sway bar links? I just did a lift on my truck and I seem to have a clunk in the front end now. So I may have jacked up my seals in the links.

Did you do stock or aftermarket?
