Me? Mine are the factory clear non smoked. It's a little jarring in person and would look better if they were smoked. Someday, I may do a BHLM or projector retrofit with BHLM.

    http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/de...97TCR515S.html

my truck has a broken leaf spring. i really didnt want a lift but this is the smallest one i could find that still has the overload leaf. ideallyl, i'd like no lift but if i have to i'll do the 1.5"

i picked up a 3 leaf pack that only had 1800 miles on it. it was froma double cab. i assumed since there was one part number for the TSB springs, that all the leaf springs were the same on each truck. the double cab springs appear to be coming up short....

well this leaf pack is from a pre-runner double cab so its a 6 lug, and my truck is a std cab 6 lug.

i havent got that far yet. i was measuring from eye to eye the best i could with the stock flat busted leaf packs still on the truck. i could be off just from that though now that i think about it. there is a lot of stuff to wiggle a tape measure through. i was coming up about an inch longer compared to the double cab springs. they are just the stock 3 leafs, so they should keep me at stock height. i may measure again, actually lay the tape measure on the leaf it self and not go from eye to eye. they could be throwing me off too, just because the "new to me" leafsprings are off the truck and fully arched.

alright, i measured both. i'm not sure exactly what this will mean tho in terms of will it fit at the same ride height.

    my standard cab 6 lug:
the overload leaf measures about 31.5 inches roughly
the 2nd leaf measures 48.5 inches roughly
and the main leaf measures 54 inches

    the double cab 6 lug
the over load leaf is 30 inches roughly
the 2nd leaf is 47 inches roughly
and the main leaf is 54 inches

i dont want to put these on my truck and it squats in the rear as soon as i'm done. any ideas as to what the difference could be in the double cab's 2 leaves coming up about 1.5" shorter than on my standard cab, or why it is shorter?

true true. i just dont want to spend all this time installing them to find out that now i may have leafs that arent broken, but now the a$$ end sits lower than the front lol. i can't imagine it would though, generally double cabs weight more than single cabs right? they have a little more weight to distribute over those leaf springs.

eh, i'll give it a shot. i'll have them just install the double cab springs and hope for the best. if it sags, i'll save up for an AAL and down the road get that installed. i'd hate to re-use any part of the springs that already have 90K miles on them.

well, being in the north east everything has rusted and kind of become one fused piece. after scoping it out, i think every bolt will probably snap as soon as i start this project. i just don't want to run into a situation where i attempt it on the weekend, then everything busts and breaks and then i'm out of luck for a way to get to work on monday. i've done clutches and motor swaps before at my old garage, but i'm not as equipped at this one lol.

I've been all up inside gertrude lowerzd and raised

Are you meauring the non install versus installed. IE measuring leafs with weight on them versus measuring leafs with no weight on them. That will give you different measurements.

It is possible but I do not see Toyota going that far to engineer a seperate leaf pack per chassis configuration. If I am not mistaken all 6lugs have similar if not the same towing capacity per weight. If this were also true we would not just be looking for 6lug leafs we would be looking for chassis specific. Yet everyone just gets 6lug leafs and still get 1.5" of drop. It can not be coincidence that we all ended up with single cab leaf packs.

If you are looking for only an inch or two of lift why not just get a pack off of a 5lug? Reverse concept used to lower 5lugz.

BTW whit at the moment. Soon though she will be going in the opposite direction.

same here..after i put my 885x's on it made my 265s look small.

285s and wheel spacers are next on my list.
