    Here you go.

885s by themselves are a little too much for the regular cab. I'd go with 884 springs - then add a 1/2" top plate spacer if you have "lift height fever."

They came into their own once I loaded down the truck with tools, full steel skids, front/rear bumper and winch. Then once I had the bumper and winch up front (not a heavy model, either - fairly light bumper and winch with synthetic line and aluminum fairlead!) the front with 885 springs finally sagged enough that I added a 1/2" top plate spacer on top of the strut assembly.

Got any more pictures of the bumper Moose? You're the first reg cab, well first tacoma I've seen with it other than the pics on the CBI site. Looks good man.

Did you leave all the leafs in the dakar leaf pack? My only concern is the back being jacked sky high with the 884's and dakar leaf pack. I'll have an all pro bedrack and RTT on there though so may help a tad. Any sag from the dakar's when carrying weight in the back? Thanks so much, truck looks perfect!

Hey man, love the look of the truck! I plan to do a similar set up with my RC and want to know if you have any rubbing with the 285's that some talk about

Yes, I left them all in. In fact, I ultimately added the Dakar Add-a-Leaf, but I keep a fair amount of tools and gasoline back there, not to mention the relentless high-clearance rear bumper with tire gate.

For your application - bedrack and RTT - I wouldn't take any leafs out.

Personally - I prefer a truck that's ready to carry a load - rather than one that's "level" that looks like it's already carrying a load even when it's empty.

The factory springs would be riding on the bumpstops with this load.

Looks good. I like the combination of those rims with that paintjob.

what would you guys recommend for a reg cab with a full plate steel bumper and winch w/ lights and all that in the front, I am estimating between 230 to 280lbs added weight to the nose depending if I add a second battery. I've heard 885's would be good on a reg cab but I know 886 coils are also made for extreme loads.

    skid plates too?

I don't have a second battery, but I do have a heavy group 31 battery.

I have a winch and a bumper. But it's not the heaviest winch, I use synthetic winch line, and aluminum fairlead instead of steel rollers, the bumper weighs about 90lbs.

    I have 3/16" skid plates.

All that (but mostly the bumper/winch) weighed down the 885s in front enough to need adding a 1/2" top plate spacer to bring the lift back up to 3"

Alternatively - I'm guessing my truck's now heavy enough in front that it could use 886 springs. But I don't have them so I don't know for sure how it would ride.

I dunno man, could go either way.

One other thought - some folks remove their sway bar. I don't, and I recommend AGAINST it. But if you do that, pick the stiffer 886 springs.

thanks for the input, worst case scenario is I have to change springs, I'll probably go with the 886's especially if I get skids. My bumper weighs 120lbs and my winch weighs 100 lbs

I just ordered the full OME setup with the 884 springs. Having wheelers assemble the front and then hopefully should have it by next week, and then hopefully get it all on shortly thereafter. I didn't go with any spacers in the front aside from the trim packer. From what I've gathered I probably won't need them. Hopefully with a bed rack and RTT on the back it'll level out with the Dakar leaf pack. Pretty pumped to see how it turns out.
