I have 285's, stock gearing manual trans. Yeah it's slow but not bad enough to make me wanna regear. If I have an empty bed I can still get up to and cruise 80mph. If I'm going 60-65 I'm getting ~15mpg.

    4cyl works for me.

Anyone have a vibration from drive shaft after lifting. I’ve noticed that my single cab has a one piece drive shaft unlike the 2-piece drive shafts on the double and access cabs

Anyone have any suspension recommendations to lift a mostly stock 2009 truck 1.5in? Only things i have have added is a decked drawer unit and a canopy. looking to try and keep total cost around 3k. Its my daily driver that i take off road from time to time but looking to start doing that a lot more. Been looking at some of the fox shocks like the 2.5in front coil overs with the 2in reservoir shocks. biggest thing I want to keep the lift to 1.5in to avoid the whole dif drop situation.

Leaf springs are as important as shocks.
I ordered 1.75" with stock payload from Alcan and they did the trick.

After doing a lot of research into putting bilstein 6112s on a regular cab truck worries me how little info there is. bilstein doesn't even say the 6112s fit on a regular cab 4x4 2nd gen according to their website. I almost wonder if in try to force them on my truck i might find they are tuned for larger 6cyl double cabs and such and will ride horribly. which is making me feel like i should just settle for 5100s because at least there is info on them and how to get them setup. especially since i want to keep the lift around 1.5in. any recomendations? I looked at fox and icon as they are more adjustable but i hate their short service life before needing to be rebuilt. Feeling a little stuck with what feels like a forgotten truck model by most manufacturers.

I would get the 6112’s and run 550# springs. The valving might be a little stiff but I would take 6112’s over 5100’s any day.

There are lots of people who use the different combos of bilsteins on this site. You just have to dig deep to find someone with the same setup weight wise.

I have found a handful of people asking questions and either go unanswered or they are but never see the results of it. Doing some more digging has anybody tried out Eibach PRO-TRUCK COILOVER STAGE 2R kit? I went into Off road warehouse to chat with them and see what they thought and they recommended this particular kit.

Fixed mine with a double Cardon tom woods rear shaft. Looks like you lifted around 6”, angles are definitely more severe if rear is to match at around 2-3”. I had the rear at 2” lift and blew a drive shaft cruising around 65mph. Was binding the u-joints major, haven’t had an issue sense I swapped the new one in

@jeff1304 I just installed that kit on my 07 Reg Cab. I love it. I also did the Icon AAL in the rear.

That does look good did you end up going with a lighter spring? Also looking at the dobinsons mmr setup which looks like it could be a good option and has plenty of options for adjustment.

Hey Nightshade, how do you have that CB antenna mounted? I have mine mounted on the rear of the truck and my SWR is a little higher than I want....Fiberglass shell/plastic bed
= bad ground plane...so I'm planning on moving it to the front of my truck at some point.

Hi all, new here. I'm rocking a 2.7 5spd with 4:10's. Maxxis Razr AT's in 285/70/17 117t are 32.6" and 43lbs a piece. On 22lb wheels this would total out to 65lbs per wheel/tire, would this be manageable? Or stick with 265/75/16's in 116t? Thanks

That sounds more completely manageable from a weight perspective actually. The Razr AT's are surprisingly light for their size (probably due to the P-rating). 65lbs per tire is solid, and around my stock weight for 16" steel wheels + 245/75R16 Wildpeaks.
