Lifted Regular Cab Picture Thread!

Awesome looking truck! I am in need of some new tires as my 255/85/16s are almost 6 years old and well worn. Did you re gear with the 285s?

 

Scored some 4Runner wheels on FB. Loving the new look!

 

Your truck looks great with those! I’ve finished about 90% of the issues and deferred maintenance on mine, so saving up to make some cosmetic choices next. Wheels are a big thought. Think i’ll keep black rims with the black truck, but yours look great hmmm.

 

I like the black rim thing too, don’t get me wrong. Will probably do black rims on the 4runner. Buuuut, that said, I’m all about keeping things looking “stock” but with enhancments. I got the double cab rims on mine(bought like that, planning to keep it, even after lift and other mods). I like your rim choice. Truck looks tough but tastefully done, not like a silly mall crawler. Man I’m sounding like my dad. Men…age comes fast.

 

Thanks! I had the black wheels for 6 years or so, and decided to switch it up! May eventually plastidip these black but not sure yet. I definitely like the design of these more than I liked the Steelies I had

 

Thanks! Yeah the “OEM+” look is always a win in my book. My truck is lifted 1.6” in the front and 1.5-2” rear, according to advertised heights for the parts I used. Wanted to keep it reasonable for a daily that rarely gets used for any real off roading, but capable enough not to get stuck in deep unplowed snow

What’s the setup? 6” suspension and 3” body? Just a guess

7.5” suspension 3” body. Ride is way smoother than stock suspension

 

looks like monster truck with it's trailer tires....needs more rubber than the motor looks like it can handle to me....unless you snuck a v8 up in there.....

 

Started out like this


I didn't really want a lift, but when I had to replace my leaf springs due to a broken leaf, I used heavy duty springs which raised the rear about 3 inches. Then I needed to change out my lower ball joints and I went down the rabbit hole. Replaced entire front suspension...new upper and lower ball joints, wheel bearings and hubs, brakes, calipers, rotors, brake lines, wheel seals, then settled on some inexpensive Rancho leveling struts.

Then I slapped on some tall, skinny 235/80-17 mud terrains. I don't off road, but I liked the look of the tires, and I do put the truck to work. I like how it turned out.

 

Looks good. Truck being a truck. Those Sema rims and naturally give some poke?

 

Thanks! I believe they are referred to as Sema...I know them as the TRD Pro Offroad 17". My stock steel wheels were getting scary rusty up here in Upstate NY. They bring the tires out just about an inch on each side. Nice and stable even with the tall skinnies. The 10 ply tires ride a little stiff even at 35 psi, but like you said...it's a truck! Ride quality, my eye!!!
