This thread makes me a sad panda.

Why don't more reg cab 2nd gens have 6" lifts? I think I have only seen two reg cab gen two's with a 6" lift. One is a member here and the other was a silver reg cab.

    I know I shoulda done a 6" lift. $#@%

Who wants to but my ICON's??? LOL

Ya'll are killing me, this site is expensive. I have a 05 regular cab 4x4, I was thinking about trading it off, but after having it 4 years, I'm kind of attached to it. I haven't done a thing to it as of yet. But this morning I bought Dick Cepek Torques , about to pull the trigger on an add a leaf and blistens all the way around. I am still up in the air on tires, I am thinking BFG AT's, most likely 265/70, but I would like something a little more aggressive... Unfortunately, I put on a lot of highway miles so I should probably stick with ATs or Grabbers AT2s.

Uh, because 3" lift with 285/75R16 and a locker makes the regular cab extremely capable off road for how most folks actually use the truck, and a 6" drop bracket lift is more expensive, raises the center of gravity, and doesn't add all that much to the capability?

I can see the need for a 6" drop-bracket lift more on your double cabs, where the breakover angle is more of a limitation.

Repeat after me: "More is NOT better. Decide how you want to use your truck, and set it up to do that."

Don't be afraid to go with the ATs. BFG AT TAs look good in person, much more agressive than the Rugged Trails and a very capable tire.

If you mount bilsteins 5100s at 1.75" and run a 265/75R16 All-Terrain tire, and carry a compressor so you can air down when it's called for, you'll greatly enhance your truck's clearance and off road capability.

Thanks, I am leaning that direction on the tires. I do have some time to think on it since I am going to be buying those local when I get back to states in 3 months.

I am not planning on going any higher than 1.75 on the front. I am still having trouble deciding if I should go with a single leaf or the progressive AAL( I don't have the TSB). I am probably going to put a cap on and I tow a 700lb quad on a trailer a lot. From what I've read, the progressive kit may not be the best for having loads, but I haven't finished my research yet.

    More than 2", less than 3". :)

    I didn't measure but I would guess 2.5", the 5100's are set to 0.

Do you have an Elocker in the rear axle? that's whats you are paying for when you buy the TRD offorad. Its the most important part of the TRD Offroad package lol....and of course the most expensive

So I've been considering trading my truck in for a Regular Cab Prerunner...but would my Access Cab parts fit on a Regular Cab? I'd be taking off my Built Right UCA's, Camburg spindles, Fox 2.0 rear resi's, and Allpro 3" Leafs. Would it work?

What's the gas milage like on a regular cab vs an access cab 4.0? Thats the main reason I'm considering it. And because I want something with less miles

Shit if I know lol I'm an access cab too just lurkin in this thread. But your suspension shouldnt differ in any way so done worry about that. Not like your going from a f150-f250 lol

I hear the reg cab guys gettin 22+ but dont quote me on that. Some of them will chime in.
