Hehehhe that shit right there made me laugh. Play operator. Lol. Me and the guys I work with go to the public range all the time. We get told all the time that the stuff we are shooting isn’t tactical, isn’t the newest and the best thing out there, and they laugh. Then the conversation dips to job and employment.
They turn out to be some guy from Roto Rooter ( no offense to anyone), school teachers, just normal folks talking tactical. Then they ask what we do and we just say we are just friends.
They come back by in a bit with a target they are proud of with shots all over the place. They see ours with 1/3 of the shots in the head and 2/3 in the chest in small groups. They walk away and then notice the black government van with the back doors open parked behind our range spot with the full gun racks inside. Hehehehe. Funny they never come back to talk to us again. Guess they didn’t like the sandbox. Hehehehe. Thanks again for the chuckle.

Subarus lol. Run a jeep trail in your totally legitimate off-road vehicle. I didn't realize we had so many coping Subaru owners lurking

Sorry really hard to believe this. I'm 51 and have been going to public ranges my entire life and not one time have I ever witnessed "We get told all the time that the stuff we are shooting isn’t tactical, isn’t the newest and the best thing out there, and they laugh."

I mean unless you're shooting black powder pistols or something.

What happens in the real world - people keep to themselves, busy taking pics for social media, or occasionally a friendly chat if they are social. Just don't see people denigrating your choice of weaponry as you describe.

I also compete in USPSA/Steel Challenge and we have newbs show up to matches with all kinds of funky stuff (i.e old wheelguns, grandpa's 22 whatever). We never laugh at them or put down their equipment, we just squad them up wih someone experienced who will show them the ropes.

I’d love to have a lifted crosstrek. Those look pretty good.

    I kinda like Subi’s :anonymous:

They’re a bit sporty and as already mentioned are great in the snow/rain. If my girlfriend was in the market for a new car and didn’t want to go the Yota route I’d probably suggest looking into Subaru. I don’t mind the lifted ones either but rarely see them in the wild. A little extra clearance is better than none I spose.

However, on the flip side, many of their owners do seem to be crunchy wooks, dudes thinkin they’re rally drivers or the other stereotype. Which can be a bit off putting.

Subarus are great cars, we have one. Great in the snow. It has a Bells sticker and a Heritage Guitar sticker , so does the Taco. Enjoy the beer, and build the guitars.

Oh there will be some mods all right
Don't cut on lifted Subarus, they are actually pretty damn capable while maintaining great on road manners and look good while doing it.

Kind of like the dc vs ac debate. Depends on your needs. Here in VT, have run a 99 yukon, 2000 forester, 2015 impreza, 2019 forester, and my tacoma. For winter driving, I would take any of the suburus over the trucks. Unbeatable with studs. No stickers on the suburus, no need to make any statements.

There's a reason it's the Vermont state car lol. I lived in Lamoille County for 10 years and it seemed like you either ran a truck or a Subaru. I ran a Silverado then an F150 because those were the two brand choices in the county without driving all the way into Burlington. I never saw a Subaru stuck in the snow up there.

Who gives a shit, people buy them for their specific needs , the way we bought our trucks. If it gets a person out on the beach , or in the woods, or wherever more power to them. Are we not all part of the off road community? Or the mall parking lot lol ?
