    Hey all,

After a year of ownership I finally took the plunge and decided to lift my 2017 TRD/OR Long Bed. Did it with my buddy over the weekend who's mechanically inclined. Kind of a PITA, but fun at the same time.

    Here's what we added:
    - Suspension bought from Headstrong - Billstein 5100's all around, Dakar Leaf Pack (medium Duty), OME 888 Coils Up Front.
    - Taco Lean spacer on front driver's side coil.
    - Replaced the needle bearing thanks to East Coast Gear Supply (no vibration!)
    - Light racing UCAs
    - Brake extension lines
    - OME carrier bearing drop bracket
    - SC10 Rays in 16" (man those are tough to buy!)
    - BFG 285/75/R16s

Was there rubbing? Initially yes. After the alignment - NONE! I couldn't believe it. Jacked the steering wheel both ways on tight corners at various speeds and breaking and not one ounce of rubbing.
Road noise? Nothing audibly different that the prior setup I was running, which were Falcon Wildpeak AT3s.

Did I regear? No. Haven't gone on extensive road trips, but so far it seems to drive fine and no noticeable difference compared to before.

How does it ride? Honestly, it's not far from stock. I can't really tell the difference. Wife and kids approve which what I care about most.

Between the lift and bigger tires, I gained close to 4" of lift. Couldn't be happier with the finished result!

Next up I plan to install the heritage grill and black out the emblems.

So no trimming or CMC? Also why the switch to BFG’s? Looks great BTW.

Always loved the look of BFGs in 285s.

I have the same exact suspension setup on my 16 OR Acess Cab. I didn’t rub at first either, haha.
Now I rub hitting inclines at speed and full lock on inclines.

    *Edit: I’m on 285/70r17s.
    And Ram Promasters are junk...

Interesting and nice looking rig! Yeah, it's only been since Sunday that it's been lifted, so I'm sure it's going to settle some. Though your front doesn't seem to have much of a rake. How did you deal with your rubbing? Did you just have to trim some of your fender guard?

Nice! Interesting, yours definitely settled quite a bit in the front. You have OME 888s up front?

Nice looking truck! I went with the same setup, except with 285/70/17 BFG's. Love it so far! And no rubbing either.

I haven’t done anything about it yet honestly. It’s very minimal and hit and miss.
I’m going to let it get some good marks on either the cab mount or fender plastic before I cut. Still can’t even pin point exactly but I’m thinking it’s the cab mount.

Hey guys your trucks with the long beds and dakars look siick.
Im going the same route but other than the load capacity whats the other differences between the light duty and heavy duty dakars? I assume that extra leaf adds a bit of height but how much.
Instead of 888 i have 887 with a 1/2" lean spacer for driver side and a 1/4" lean spacer for passanger. Only doing this because i couldnt pass up a deal on the 887 and i got the 2 different top plate spacers for free. Hopefully it evens out and brings it up to match heavy duty dakars.
    Any advice??

What’s your motivation for the heavy duty Dakar’s? They’re meant for a constant heavy load in your bed. Do you travel with lots of gear or tools?
