Sell that thing yourself. And ask a goofy price. People will pay it.

I have no clue yet and not sure I'll pull it apart. Thanks for asking.

Put the truck up for sale "As Is" first. I am betting someone will give you at least 30K. That is really nice truck. Hate to see you take it apart.

Damn, I'd love the sliders but the distance between us....

Is the Meso map light a dual color? That would be the last piece of my Meso puzzle for now. ;)

Just added toolbox and roof-rack to haul my fishing boat 100's of miles into the backwoods every week. Goodrich K02s, Bilstein 5100 front and back, no lift.
Wow, nice truck, looks like it has never been driven.

My 2016 in same color is a mostly full on bush truck. Still looks ok on the outside other than a few dents from logs and such, but the underside is trashed.

No lift, other than 3/4 inch up front from Bilstein 5100s meaning gained another 3/8 inch. :)

You could get a really good price up here in Kelowna BC for a truck like yours, would command top dollar with the mods, low miles and new appearance.

Here in CDN dollars your truck would sell as is for about $40-42K.

Aftermarket parts generally bring 50% of their value on trade in. If you trade in you'll save on sales tax. (You only pay tax on the difference of the price of new truck minus your trade in value.)

If you sell yourself you'll get more for the truck, but you'll deal with tire kickers and low ballers, plus you'll have to find a buyer that wants your exact truck with those exact options and can qualify for financing or pay cash/cut a check.

Pros and cons to both options. Your truck looks very clean and tastefully modded btw. I'm sure you could sell it as is and quickly yourself if that's what you want to do.

dude! Those ADS shocks and TC UCAs are going for a ton right now (not to mention the ADS shocks are better than Kings :crapstorm:).

save those and sell them private you will get a lot more for them. Plenty of people who want them. The dealership isn’t going to give you anything extra for them and from what I see is $2500+ in components and +$1k if you have the rears

I’d sell the whole thing privately with the demand right now…silly not too

In California we have to pay tax on the full value of the vehicle. Even if we buy a vehicle out of state, we still have to pay California what we save in tax.

Oh, wow. Maybe things have changed in CA. I've always paid tax on the difference (new vehicle price minus trade in value) not the total value of a new vehicle. Here in AZ there's no sales tax on private party car sales transactions. Don't know about other states.

No sales tax on a vehicle in Montana :bananadance:

    but that registration tho... :bananadead:

Veterans get options. My registration went from $400 to $40 ;)

Looks like OP is in Alabama. 2-4% there if I am reading correctly.

Most dealers are gonna tell you the mods decrease value which is pretty accurate, think about it if you were shopping for a used truck you’d think twice about a modded one you have no idea the quality of work or issues unaddressed. I’d take it back to stock.

I'd try to sell it private party first. If no dice put it back to stock and trade it in.

It's actually not that difficult to figure out the quality of the installed parts and the work. For sure I would hit the bolts and nuts with a wrench and take it to Joe's Alignment, Justin Case.

For someone like you and me maybe, sure, but for the average joe not so much, certified or preowned stock trim will always go for more, I worked Manheim auctions for years as a side gig as an auction clerk, the modded ones always fetched less. Anyone that thinks their lifted modded out Taco is worth more is just decieving themselves, maybe in the rare occasion in the right market to the just right buyer.

Nice truck. When it comes to trucks, you cannot beat the 1980s and older models for simple reliability. The new stuff like my 2016 TRD OR and the domestic ones too, are too F’d up with useless technology and complexity. Built to break and hard to fix.

Here is my old 86 F150. Had it 13 years, one clutch, one radiator, one starter (10 minute replacement), 2 u-joints changed on driveshaft, and brakes and tune ups and thats it. Beat the shit out of it offroad. I bought it new for $14K, and sold it 13 years later for $5K. I did all the work except for the clutch. Easy jobs.

It was indestructible. Guy who bought it was a full time logger at Squamish BC and so after 13 years hard core off roading for me, it was heading full time into the bush for hauling and daily logging use.

Straight 6, 6 cyl, 4 spd manual, bench seat, interior steel floors and ceiling, no carpets, no AC, no power windows, none of that crap.

I would toss my Taco and buy another like that in a heart beat if they still made them bare bones like that. I just want a truck that is reliable and easy to self repair. Today it is all about looks and tech and gadgets. I can buy a car if I need that stuff.

I have a Taco and a newer one as it is still smaller than todays full size trucks, which works for the small trails I am on, and my trips are solo remote so an old beater not so good as far as in the bush breakdowns are concerned.
