dude, the electrical gremlins are a bitch. They basically live in the Grand Cherokee L’s and those POS Wagonneers. DO NOT buy the wagoneers lol.

So many software updates for modules and recalls for stupid shit... Also have a gladiator with 6,000 miles that has misfire on all cylinders with a ton of metal shavings in the oil filter housing and it has already been through the first oil change.

Lol I think the manifolds on the 5.7s and 6.4s warp the day after they leave the dealer, everytime I hear one of those start up in a parking lot I'm like yup it needs manifolds:rofl:

I will second the Grand cherokee L's and wagoneers are trash so far. So many electrical bugs and software updates. The grand cherokee L's have an issue with the center console cupholders getting hot and melting ice in cups and stuff like chapstick. And any gloss black surface will be tainted with scratches before the first oil change.

lol, yup. The 6.4's actually have more of a header design so those rarely go bad but something in those engines squeaks/ticks like a mofo:rofl:

Don't forget the POS TIPM's and that failure of an "ignition switch" in the RAM trucks.

Can't ever forget about the TIPM's. The only good thing to come out of the tipm failures are piles of them with spare fuses and relays to steal:D. The "WIM"(push to start button) modules on the 5th gen rams suck too. They are all junk.

Us aftermarket guys can't do much with the 2018+ stuff cause it's all behind the stupid secure gateway.

Its even hard for us to use a scan tool that its the Witech pod from chrysler. You have to be connected to wifi with your scan tool while you are connecting to the car otherwise no joy.

So do I although GM and Ford are quickly catching up with some of the garbage they are putting out these days.

Yep, don't hear much about ford and GM junk but rest assured I hear enough to not want one. Surprisingly the TRX has had almost no issues even on its first year. They somehow nailed that one.

Wouldn't be so bad if we only had to pay the $50/ year for AutoAuth but no they force you to have a current software subscription on your scan tool as well.

Everytime I have to update my snap on scanner its like $1000 and then the 50 bucks for the Auth. And whenever it gets updated it never works right for the first week or so... last snap on scanner I am buying...

All I have to say about GM is AFM and shit transmissions, GM hasn't made a decent transmission since the 4L60/65E.

Oh god we haven't even began to talk about the 62te transmission in the minivans and the 66rfe I think in the 6.4 HD trucks:mad: Average life span of like 70k on the 62te and every time you pull the pan the magnet has at least one gear worth of clutch material on it.

Yea I have a Verus Edge I bought used on Ebay with the 21.4 update but I'm not gona pay to update it.
The main thing I like about the SnapOn scanners is their interface, they have that nailed but as far as actual functionality my Autel wipes the floor with it.

That's interesting, we have put very few Dodge transmissions in and most of them were 48RE's in the older Ram diesels.
We put a GM 6L80/90 in every couple weeks and we are a small shop with only 2 techs.

Yeah the interface is nice but for sure autel and launch win with functionality especially at the price point of snap on.
